Summer Getaway with the 2021 Chevy Suburban High Country

This is a sponsored post.

I was sent a vehicle from Chevrolet for the purpose of review.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The 2021 Chevy Suburban High Country is a SUV like no other.  It was the perfect vehicle to experience a family getaway to Connecticut to bring my girls to camp this summer.

Camp is about 2 hours away from  NYC and we like to leave lots of time to enjoy the beautiful outdoors in Connecticut.  In addition to having a full car, all of my daughters have their own trunk in addition to bags.

When you have three children and their belongings, you need space, space, space.  This is exactly what the Suburban offers.  It is Best in Class for cargo volume of up to 144.7 cu. ft.

There is plenty of room for everyone and all of their things.  Another feature that my girls loved was the second-row leg room.  They are taller than I am and enjoyed the space on our drive.

When traveling with my precious cargo, I want to know that my girls and I will all be safe. The 2021 Chevy Suburban High Country has a suite of active safety features, including class-leading nine camera views (such as HD Surround Vision Camera), Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Rear Park Assist, etc.

The camera views was like nothing I had experienced before.  When you are driving an extremely large car, you want to know that you can see all around you and with the Suburban, you can.

The 2021 is the most versatile fuel efficient SUV with a turbo diesel engine.  Gas is expensive and the Suburban does really well with mileage on the highway. The DURAMAX® 3.0L Turbo-Diesel engine has an EPA-estimated 27 mph on the highway, and is the most fuel efficient full-size SUV in its class. The fuel economy is great for long road trips.

The Suburban also has amazing technology for the whole family to enjoy. Everyone is given the ultimate comfort while enjoying the ride. There is a rear seat media system so that all can enjoy movies and video games during the ride.

The new Rear-Seat Media System has dual 12.6-inch diagonal LCD HD touch-screens – each capable of displaying its own content (movies, video games, etc.). The system also keeps everyone connected (including built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi and Apple Carplay/Android Auto), allowing them to share content from one screen to another, or share navigation points with the front-seat passengers by sending them to the class-leading 10.2-inch diagonal Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus System.  With teens, having Wi-Fi in an area where they know there is usually no service was a plus.

Keeping your valuables safe is always important.  The new Power Sliding Center Console can automatically slide back up to 10 inches, giving you a convenient place to store items between the seats while also helping to providing a secure, hidden storage drawer for your valuables.

Whether on the highway or on rugged terrain as we enter camp, the Chevy Suburban offers a smooth and enjoyable ride.

Here is my happy camper ready to say goodbye.  I am so glad we had a memorable journey and cannot wait to hear all about her experience when I pick all of them up in a few weeks.

After enjoying the 2021, Chevy Suburban High Country and our trip to camp drop off in CT, I was sad to see this SUV go.  Now that I have 3 mini adults in the house who are all taller than I am, I look for a vehicle with lots of space especially when taking longer trips.

Have you ever driven a Chevy Suburban?

This looks like the perfect vehicle to transport your family and a whole bunch of stuff, while still having enough room to not feel cramped. Love that the Suburban gets good gas mileage for its size, too!

We rented a Suburban in May when we drove down to Miami to pick up my son from college. I remember thinking Suburbans were too big18 years ago but I really enjoyed driving this one. It is really a run ride now.

I love the new suburban! It’s one of the newer vehicles that has not become this tiny cramped space. We still do a lot of driving and road trips and the new vehicles are just too small.

So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macy So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macys and Santa! Last night, we took the train into the city to preview #Macys #Santaland I have to say it was quite magical. Although my youngest was 12, Santa was able to connect to her and put us all in the holiday spirit.

I believe. I believe….

My mom also came with us. We started talking and I think it was almost 40 years ago that she took us to visit Santa at Macys. I was so happy to visit Santa with her and my youngest for a three generation experience.

Don’t forget to check out the beautiful window displays as you enjoy all of #NYC during the holidays!

#ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but #ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental illness and disorders today.

Let’s reduce the stigma by opening up the conversation in the classroom and at home.
As a teacher and a mom of 3, I know how important it is to be there and be a good listener.

Conversations are super important. It’s never too early (or too late) to have these conversations with your students or your own children.

Operation Conversation is a check-in on kids’ mental health. When we start simple habits of conversations, we can learn about concerns or problems our students are dealing with, help them problem solve, and build their confidence for life’s difficult moments.

Teachers can help to destigmatize mental health starting in their own classrooms by talking to their students about mental health using a free deck of conversation starter cards. Parents can also use these cards to support good conversations while at home. I know as a mom, I can use all the help I can get.

#Giveaway Alert!
I have 5 decks of Conversation Starter Decks of cards to give away to 5 lucky winners to help you get the conversation flowing!

To enter:
1. Comment on this post as to why you would love the conversation starter deck of cards.

New York state has so many wonderful places to be New York state has so many wonderful places to be a part of . From the bright lights of NYC, to quiet places of respite in its parks and wooded areas. Time to walk, hike and reflect. Being active and busy is something that I hope my teens learn from and something we can do together to enjoy all the beauty and nature it has to offer while keeping NY tobacco free. Did you know that our oldest generation of smokers are now dying? After them, you have me and a very large group of people who do not smoke at all. So, who’s next? Instead of taking cigarettes off the shelves, the tobacco industry views today’s teens as tomorrow’s customers, using menthol-flavored products to attract and addict kids – and it’s working. More than half (54%) of youth who smoke (ages 12-17 years) use menthol cigarettes. making it easier for kids to start and harder for them to quit. Menthol is not JUST a flavor, it attracts and addicts kids As a teen mom, I am sharing this so we can all take action! Learn more about the impact of Big Tobacco’s manipulative tactics on our communities and how you can take action to help end this injustice. Let’s keep our kids enjoying the wonderful things our state has to offer. Link in bio #NotJustMenthol #TobaccoFreeNYS #ad @tobaccofreenys
