The Walt Disney Studio has released their 2020 line up. There are some amazing movies coming to the box office from Twentieth Century Fox, Pixar, Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Animation.

From taught thrillers to animated family flicks, the Walt Disney Studio 2020 lineup is looking to be a good one this year. We have a movie about surviving the crush of water and what lurks within it, a psychological thriller that’s a far different take on the classic superhero movie, a revamp of an old favorite, and so much more. It all makes for a year absolutely stuffed with entertainment for everyone in the family.
January

Disaster strikes more than six miles below the ocean surface when water crashes through the walls of a drilling station. Led by their captain, the survivors realize that their only hope is to walk across the seafloor to reach the main part of the facility. But the crew soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when they come under attack from mysterious and deadly creatures that no one has seen before.
Underwater is a 2020 American science fiction horror film directed by William Eubank and written by Brian Duffield and Adam Cozad. The film is produced by Chernin Entertainment and stars Kristen Stewart, Vincent Cassel, Jessica Henwick, John Gallagher Jr., Mamoudou Athie, and T.J. Miller.
In Theaters January 10th.

The Call of the Wild is an upcoming American adventure film based on the Jack London 1903 novel The Call of the Wild and the remake of Twentieth Century Pictures’ 1935 film of the same name.
Buck is a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life gets turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon in the 1890s. As the newest rookie on a mail-delivery dog sled team, Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime as he ultimately finds his true place in the world.
In Theaters February 21st.

Two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot go on a journey to discover if there is still a little magic left out there to spend one last day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him.

“Mulan” is the epic adventure of a fearless young woman who masquerades as a man to fight Northern Invaders attacking China. The eldest daughter of an honored warrior, Hua Mulan is spirited, determined and quick on her feet.
Mulan is an upcoming American epic action drama film directed by Niki Caro, with the screenplay by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Lauren Hynek, and Elizabeth Martin, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures. The film is based on the Chinese folklore “The Ballad of Mulan” and is a live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1998 animated film of the same name. The film stars Liu Yifei as the eponymous character, alongside Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Gong Li, and Jet Li in supporting roles.

The New Mutants is an upcoming American horror film in the superhero genre, based on the Marvel Comics team of the same name and distributed by 20th Century Fox. It was initially developed to be an installment of the X-Men film series.

The Woman in the Window is an upcoming 2020 American psychological thriller film directed by Joe Wright, from a screenplay adapted by Tracy Letts, based on the 2018 novel of the same name by pseudonymous author A. J. Finn.
In theaters May 15th.

Ferdia Shaw is Artemis Fowl in Disney’s ARTEMIS FOWL, an adventure directed by Kenneth Branagh that finds the 12-year old genius in a battle of strength and cunning against a powerful, hidden race of fairies.

Artemis Fowl is an upcoming science fantasy adventure film based on the first two novels of the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. Directed by Kenneth Branagh and written by Conor McPherson, the film stars Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell, Tamara Smart, Nonso Anozie, Josh Gad, and Judi Dench.

Oh my goodness! I am so excited about Soul and Artemis Fowl – and my adult son is overjoyed by the thought of a live action Mulan – it has always been his favorite Disney movie.
Disney always makes such great movies. Most of their animated movies are classics right from the get-go.
