Back to school time is here! It’s really here! There is so much to do and so much to prepare that it can be overwhelming for us as parents and definitely overwhelming for your teen too. With so many classes and study requirements, school can feel overwhelming, especially in the beginning. However, I have some great products that will help your teen get ready for back to school.
Three Simple Ways to Help Teens Get Ready for Back to School
Great supplies and tons of support are the two biggest ways that we, as parents, can help our kids get ready for back to school. When our kids know they have great supplies and an excellent support system, it helps them feel more confident about their days at school.
1. Give Them Great Tools
Did you know that Crayola Take Note! offers Erasable Highlighters ?
We like the variety of colors that you can color code and highlight your work. What we really love is how if you need to, you can erase what you have highlighted and it actually works.
Another great tool to have is the Take Note! Highlighter Pens 2-in-1. They are great for highlighting, writing and drawing too.
2. Let Them Design and Label Supplies
Everyone likes to create their own individual style when it comes to the supplies they will be using for back to school. Before classes start, use Crayola Take Note Felt-Tip Pens to label and decorate binders and folders to give them a unique look.
3. Remind Them to Breathe
We all have to breathe, but sometimes we get caught up in the moment and need to pause for a deep breath in then a deep breath out. Anxiety and stress can build up, with assignments piling on , and even simple meditation moments can offer a moment to think and clear your mind.
In addition to the Crayola Take Note! products shown above, they also offer:
Crayola Take Note! Dry Erase Markers – Some schools have dry erase markers as an optional donate. This would also make a great teacher gift too.
Crayola Take Note! Permanent Markers
I love the variety of permanent marker colors that come in these packs. They are great for writing on almost anything. Label school supplies as well as clothes. This teacher mom might just be keeping these in her classroom!
Crayola Take Note! Gel Pens are a favorite of my tween. She loves that way the ink comes out and the bright colors. As I am writing, she took a variety of Crayola Take Note! products to draw a picture. I’ll have to show you how it comes out!
Forget the kids! I’d love to play with all of those pens. lol
These are all fabulous tips!
Never realized they offer so many different kinds of pens!! My grandson have always loved the dry eraser markers, not permanent and no stains!!
My daughter was just asking for these.

I need to get some of these pens for my daughter for back to school.
I love Crayola products. Those pens look awesome!
These look like great pens.
These look great! It’s always nice to have new supplies– it can really help with that feeling of getting off to a “fresh start.” I might suggest that it’s important for students to have, as much as is possible, an organized and consistent place to study at home. Shuffling around with a heavy backpack can get pretty stressful!
I love all tips and enjoy getting my nieces ready for back to school!
I never knew how many kinds of marker are out there. And erasable markers too! Thanks for the article.
I ‘d love to try the permanent markers. They’re so useful for labeling!

my cousin would love these 😀
This is one of those ways where I was happy to let my teen be in control. I’d pick up a few pens for myself too.
Love the meditation tips and who doesn’t just love fun pens, markers, etc.
Those pens are great! I wouldn’t have thought about meditation. Great idea!
There’s nothing better than new school supplies at the beginning of the school year. Thanks for sharing!
No kids here. I love dry erase markers. It’s important for kids to have the right tools
We used dry erase markers to teach our kids how to play poker. lol.
My parents should probably have made me go to summer school rather than wasting my time watching cartoons and game shows.
These are great tips. These items look great for my sister
Good tips, always dreaded to get ready to go back, but always break it down and do it step by step.
These are good suggestions. It can be hard sometimes for them to get back into the daily groove.
Great ideas. The girls like getting the new items for school. One is excited for school and the other is not.
