My recent trip to Palm Springs to attend A Girls Guide to Cars Conference was filled with many firsts. My first time to California, let alone Palm Springs. My first time driving a Lexus and a first time eating at an In N Out Burger. This trip was amazing meeting new friends driving new cars and learning about Palm Springs.

Always check your mirrors before hitting the road!

The Lexus RX 350L Should be on everyone’s Wish List.
Upon arrival in Plam Springs, I was handed the keys to a Lexus I was shocked. Out of the many cars in the line up to be driven over the course of the weekend, I had first dibs on this brand new Lexus RX 350L. It was the perfect pairing a Lexus for Lauren! I know what will be on my Christmas list this year, well maybe next year.
Myself along with 2 other bloggers started our journey from LAX to Palm Springs and enjoyed every minute of this 2+ hour drive. We learned all the functions and couldn’t believe how smooth and quiet of a drive it was. For me when driving a new car or even someone else’s car I get a little nervous and even more so with other people. However, I didn’t feel this way this time. I felt right at ease climbing into the driver’s seat. It was like this car was made just for me. At 5’5 I didn’t feel like the car was overpowering. I actually enjoyed being higher off the ground and being able to have more control of the road and see what on the horizon. Safety is always a concern and with 10 Airbags for driver and front passenger side and rear you know you will be protected in case of a collision. The Lexus also come with Enform Safety Connect and Service Connect.
Being on the road in California means only one thing a pit stop to In N Out Burger. Yes, I did have the animal style fries but that was only on the second trip on the way back to the airport. I only wish I learned about them before. Another reason to head back out to CA. Don’t worry we didn’t eat in the new Lexus. Heaven forbid ruining that new car smell with the aroma of fries and burgers. Oh, how I wish I was eating one right now as I type this. It is worth all the hype.

I have the proof. I made it to IN N OUT Burger.
If you have never driven in a Lexus you are missing out. The RX 350L is the cream of the crop with room for the whole family and a guest or two. The 3rd row is great to have for that unexpected guest. However, I wouldn’t choose to use it all the time if you have a larger family. It will be perfect for the kids to fit for a bit of a smaller space, Grandma might have a hard time getting back there. Also when the 3rd row is in use you do lose out on trunk space. You win some you lose some it all depends on your needs at the time. The best feature for this is the power folding third row. No more futzing around will levers, just press the button and watch the seat move for you.

Every car photo needs palm trees in the background. Look how the sun makes the nightfall color shine.
Don’t let all these buttons and gadgets get you confused. They are here to assist you while driving. Take the time to test them all out and see what the function of each is. From radio controls, Drive mode select, Crusie Control, lane departure alert with steering assist and lane keep assist. This is all to help you become and better and safer driver. Did you know that the steering wheel is even heated along with the front and rear seats? Those of us on the East Coast could use that right now. The Lexus also has 4 USB ports in the vehicle to keep everyone charged and paired.
I am here sitting in the lap of luxury on leather-trimmed front seats, don’t forget they are heated too! The Lexus also has Driver’s seat, steering wheel, and mirror memory. It doesn’t get any better than this. No more adjusting from one driver to another.
One of my favorite features of the Luxury edition is the 4.2″Multi-Information display with Lexus personalized settings, Trip computer and outside temperature display. Just connect your phone for GPS capability and you are on your way for the adventure of a lifetime.
I can’t believe I forgot to mention the Lexus RX 350L has a sunroof! You have to have it when in Palm Springs, driving around with the sunroof open and the wind in your hair, enjoying the beautiful weather.
If you are in the market for a new vehicle make sure you test drive the Lexus 350L, you won’t regret it. The vehicle I was able to drive has a suggested retail price of $52,000 and with add-ons can range up to $60,000.
