While out in LA for the #ChristopherRobinEvent, we visited Walt Disney Animation Studios for a #RalphBreaksTheInternetEvent Press Day.
Can you say Oh MY AWESOME?
OH MY EXCITING!
Imagine a whole part of the Internet devoted to all things Disney come to life and you can envision the world of OH MY DISNEY DOT COM.
Everything Oh MY DISNEY DOT COM brought excitement and laughter while we met these three amazing women who shared all about how the princess scene came to life.
How the Princess Scene Came to Be?
The “Oh My Disney” sequence has been a part of the story since the first script and story reels. Co-writer Pamela Ribon discussed the inspiration for the scene.
(FUN FACT – Pamela also is the voice of Snow White in the movie.)
While listening, all I could think about is how taking a risk can possibly lead to something amazing. The idea of “What kind of princess are you?” was the brainchild of Pamela Ribon. This idea for the princesses was so out there that she was nervous to see how it would be received. Lucky for her, Director Rich Moore told her, “Just try it and see what happens”
Ami Thompson, Art Director, shared how this is the most unique project she has worked on. Each princess wears a t-shirt that makes reference to her own film. While listening to Ami, I thought it was wonderful to see her thoughts come to life and amazing it must have been as her first time being art director for a film.

.Kira Lehtomaki , Head of Animation, present the work that went into bringing these beloved characters into the world of the internet. For example, how do the ladies move? “To put the girls together there were times that they actually used figurines to envision the scene.
Just like all Disney movies, research is key . So where else would you go to research princesses but to the Magic Kingdom.

Mark Henn, a Disney supervising animator who created several of the Disney princesses supported them as they researched each of the princesses and was able to give them nuggets of information to
Ribon shared that they wanted to pay homage to original film. They looked to find iconic moments and tributes to the films that we have loved for many years.

I’m 30 years old and I’m excited to see this with the kids! We LOVED the 1st one and when it 1st came out it seemed the kids watched it a million times a day. My older kids are 12 and 10 so I was dreading the day that they felt they were too old for Disney but now I have a 6 month old so I’ve reset the clock. Lol
Looking forward to taking the grandkids to this one!
I am really looking forward to taking my kids to see this. They are going to be so happy..
