If you are in the need of a getaway, look no further than a 2-hour drive from NYC to Tannersville PA. Head to Camelback Resort and Aquatopia for frights food and fun!
I was recently invited to attend on behalf of The Mama Maven, for an evening of a taste of Camelback to celebrate the grand opening of 2 new restaurants Berrelli’s and Karttrite’s Summit House.
Camelback is a great place to visit with the family for adventures. There is always something to do year-round You can enjoy Aquatopia the indoor waterpark, snow tube in the winter or enjoy the fall foliage. A few weeks ago, I headed to Camelback for the night to check out 2 new restaurants with my friend from Apple Moms of the Hudson Valley.
The first restaurant we visited was Berrelli’s They serve family-style meals and we were able to sample each plate that was offered. I have to say that the Chicken Parmesan was amazing paired with a Cesar Salad and of course a glass of a fine white wine.
All meals are made with the finest of ingredients. When served family style the portions are mighty and oh so tasty.
After your delectable meal, you can walk or drive over from the lodge or, ski-in/ski-out for the perfect mountainside escape. Don’t worry if you aren’t a guest you can still head over and grab a bite. Berrelli’s is more than just a dinner, it is an experience for the entire family, so make sure you come hungry!
Get ready for frights and delights. Enjoy a Haunted House like no other. Make a stop at Kartrite’s Kurse towards the top of the mountain. For those who are faint of heart, you might not make it through. but don’t get scared it is all in good fun. You never know what is lurking around the corner.
Kartrite’s Kurse: Features 17 rooms of doom where the perilous adventures of the great explorer Kartrite are monumented. Dodge zombie explorers, mummies and a 15 ft. bear! Conquer the Egyptian ruins if you can – and exit through the spinning time warp, into The Pit.-
I can’t tell you where you lead to next as I don’t want to ruin the surprises or the scares
We made it through, yes there were screams and chills walking through the Haunted House. However, we had a blast.
I will admit I was a bit chicken when it came to the zip line but I think doing it in the dark was actually better since you couldn’t see how high up you were. The same goes for the Monster Coaster, a ride where you are in control of how fast or slow you want to go.
We waited until it got dark to enjoy the outdoor activities. Everything is better in the dark from the Lights Out Zip Line & Monster Coaster.
After an evening of frights food and laughs it was time for a nightcap. We headed back to Berrelli’s to enjoy a few cannoli’s, earlier the manager suggested we head downstairs to check out the wine cellar and enjoy a glass or two from their wine room.
Berrelli also takes pride in its carefully curated wine list that includes bold Italian wines as well as some lighter bodied California wines served from a temperature-controlled Wine Room – for that perfect bottle each time. Or enjoy Italian specialty wines found on tap at the exquisitely designed Wine Bar; ensuring freshness with every glass
