Spending the day down the Jersey Shore with family and friends has got to be one of the easiest getaways from NYC. About 2 hours from the NYC/Westchester area, you can find the boardwalk, rides, water park and of course, the ocean.
The best part is that you can do it all in one day! We had the opportunity to visit Casino Pier Breakwater Beach and we enjoyed every minute. We spent a lot of our time in the The Perfect Storm. Watch out for the Nantucket Bucket. You will get drenched!
Kids of all ages can have fun at Breakwater Beach. All my favorites and my girls’ favorites in one place.
When you see a sign that says Selfie Spot, what do you do? You take a selfie of course!
The Revolutionary Wild River was at great tube ride around the park and definitely a mom favorite.
A MUST-DO on our list is Patriot’s Plunge. So happy I was able to catch an action shot of the girls on this thrill ride!
Lighthouse Cove is a great area for the younger crowd. Small slides and water fun for the small ones!
After we dried off, it was time to hit the boardwalk and visit Casino Pier. Kiddie rides and adult rides can be found for all thrill levels on the pier.
One favorite that all the kids liked was Hot Tamales. It was a spicy roller coaster for the whole family – little ones too!
If you like jumping and bouncing, the Jump Around is the ride for you!
A classic favorite has to be the Motorcycles. If I dig carefully while at my parent’s house, I think I could find a picture of me on this very ride!
My ultimate favorite is the Bumper Cards. Some of my closest friends who might be reading this, will have a chuckle and now how happy I am on certain rides!
The fun doesn’t end during the day. There is always time to hit the arcade, play some games and get some classic board walk food to eat. You have to try the pizza slices on Casino Pier. They are huge!
When on the boardwalk, you must get a classic soft serve vanilla with rainbow sprinkles. This brings back a lot of memories.
We’ve got a winner!
For your viewing pleasure, you have to stay awhile and watch the colors change on the Ferris Wheel. Awesome views of the Jersey Shore during the day and a magical color show at night.
Casino Pier Breakwater Beach is located at 800 Ocean Terrance, Seaside Heights, NJ 08751
