Have you been to Boundless Adventures located on the campus of Purchase College?
A few weeks ago, I was invited by Apple Moms of the Hudson Valley to experience the ropes and zip lines experience.
When you arrive, the first thing you need to do is head to registration located in the parking lot. This is where you will make sure you have your waivers filled out and get your tickets. To save time, it is best to presign the waiver online.
After registration, it is time to get suited up with a harness and gloves. Then, we spent some time learning the ropes of safety do’s and don’ts.
Every member of the staff that we encountered during our visit was super helpful. from showing us how to use the carabiners and giving helpful strategies as we maneuvered through the course.
Here we are at the beginning of the course. Just like skiing, the courses are level by color for level of expertise – yellow, green, blue and black. This obstacle course is great for beginners and for the super advanced.
I am not the most adventurous person but with the help of family and friends, I navigated the beginning of the course with words of encouragement. I was 10 feet in the air and that was a pretty big leap for me! After this climb back and forth, I chose to photograph my girls as they journeyed through the park. Baby steps for me!
Here’s a glimpse of our time at Boundless Adventures.
I love how they looked soaring through the trees. So strong and so brave!
Zip line away! I was so proud of them and I am glad that they took the chance!
With the help of our always brave friend Karen of Apple Moms of the Hudson Valley, the girls excelled and went to the next level!
Plan on being at Boundless Adventures for at least 3 hours so that you can experience the variety of course that they offer or go back on your favorite!
As you can see they were all smiles after our visit to Boundless Adventures. For more information, visit their website.
If you are in NYC, you can easily take the New Haven/Metro North Line to Rye and take a taxi to campus for a day of adventure.

My daughter graduated from Purchase College a few years ago. The grounds are really nice and very easy to get to. I bet she wishes this was there at the time.
This place looks like so much fun. My son would love this place.
That place looks like so much fun! Since it is in New England, I will definitely keep it in mind for a road trip!
Looks so cool! Great place for outdoor fun for kids
This looks like a fun place to go with the family. I’ve always wanted to go zip lining.
Your kids are more adventurous than you are. Need to learn from them.
That looks so fun and adventurous! What a fun family activity to do together!
(Visit Boundless Adventures in Purchase New York) Looks like this was a whole fun packed day for the whole family. Always something to do in that area for sure.
This looks so fun! My oldest son went zip lining last year and loved it.
This is something that my family loves to do! Looks like a lot of fun
I had the privilege of zip-lining when I visited Montana and it was remarkable! Best breezes, best views, great outdoor entertainment!
looks like alot of fun would like to try this with my family
This is so much fun, but short of setting up a course in my backyard, I would not know where to find one in my area.
This looks like tons of fun. I’ve always wanted to take my Dad ziplineing. I think that he would like this.
I think it looks like a fun day. I would probably freak out a few times, though, lol.
Looks like everyone was having a great time. I wish we had something like that around here. I believe they have something similar in the Great Smokey Mountains in North Carolina. We will have to check it out. We went snowboarding up there last year.
The grounds look awesome! What kid wouldn’t love this place? I will check it out if I am ever up that way
This looks like a fun place to visit. I am too much of a chicken to zipline though lol..
The older I get the more I think I need to move up to New York or at least leave Florida. It’s so hot that the only time you go out in the summer is to hit the beach. I would love to do more activities like this. You and the girls look like you have so much fun and the woods look so green & cool. Thanks for sharing your fun!
