Why a Disney Marvel Day At Sea Cruise is Right For Your Family

Marvel Day at Sea bannerMarvel Day at Sea with Disney Cruises is one of the most fun things you’ll ever experience with your family. Last year I was able to go on a trip of a lifetime with Disney Social Media Moms for both the Land and Sea Celebration. Having never been on a cruise before I was a little nervous.

Is there enough room, is everyone going to have fun? Will my party ranging in ages from 6-67 all be entertained?   There was something for everyone to do and the entertainment was spectacular. From the moment we all boarded the ship we felt like we were part of the Disney family.  I couldn’t believe how much the Disney Cruise was able to offer.

About Marvel Day at Sea

Disney now offers an even more magical cruise called Marvel Day At Sea with select ships leaving directly from NYC this fall and then in Miami?

For a New Yorker, this is amazing! I can leave directly from my hometown.  This is great for savings on airfare, and a hotel for the day before arrival.  Now I will have extra spending money for souvenirs for the entire family.

Marvel Day at Sea from New York will be on seven- and eight-night Disney Magic Bahamian cruises departing on Oct. 6, 14, 28; Nov. 4, 11 and 18, 2017. All will include a stop at Disney’s private island Castaway Cay and Port Canaveral, Fla., with a day at the Walt Disney World Resort. Marvel Day at Sea will be on one seven-night Canadian Coast cruise departing from New York on Oct. 21, 2017, with stops at Charlottetown, Sydney, and Halifax

Dressing the part for Marvel Day At Sea. – Fun for all ages!

I was recently invited to a special luncheon to learn about Disney’s Marvel Day at Sea.  Just listening to Cruise Director Clayton discuss all these wonderful opportunities and all the excitement that Disney Cruisers will be enjoying makes me super jealous.  I am looking at my calendar now and see when I can schedule my next cruise.

Here are just some of the highlights that the Marvel Day at Sea will offer its guests. It combines the thrills of renowned Marvel comics, films and animated series, with the excitement of a Disney Cruise to summon everyone’s inner Super Hero for the adventures that lie ahead during this unforgettable day at sea.

Exclusive Character Interactions and Shows

The event features exclusive character interactions, including the debut of Black Panther and Loki as part of a Disney vacation experience. Marvel Day at Sea also marks the first official appearance of Iron Man on a Disney Cruise Line ship.

In the Walt Disney Theatre, a spell-binding new show featuring Doctor Strange will keep families on the edge of their seats. Doctor Strange will showcase his journey from doubter to practitioner as he demonstrates the power of the mystic arts. The show concludes with an epic battle where guests must help Doctor Strange against the Dark Dimension.

Occurring on one action-packed day during each of the special Disney Magic sailings, Marvel Day at Sea transports guests to a new realm of possibilities when the Marvel Universe assembles on the ship. The event features all-day entertainment including interactions with some of the mightiest Marvel Super Heroes and the menacing foes who oppose them, an extraordinary deck party, Marvel-themed youth activities, special merchandise and unique food and beverage offerings.

Marvel Movie and TV Show Screenings

Also featured are exclusive at-sea screenings of fan-favorite films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe including the newest theatrical releases, as well as viewings of the Disney XD shows: Marvel’s Avengers Assemble, Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

Marvel Day at Sea hosts an awesome mix of immersive entertainment that is sure to empower guests to unlock their hidden superhuman abilities as they assemble their own Super Hero community onboard the Disney Magic on this very special day.

Marvel Day at Sea has Something for Everyone

Always believe in the magic, Disney is here to entertain families.  Their cruises have something for everyone. Kids and parents feel safe using the Kids Club a “day camp” like no other.  It is a vacation that goes above and beyond where your servers know you by name and their service is put to the test.  Each meal you are greeted by your waitstaff that rotates with you- they know your drinks, favorites desserts and have the funniest jokes to tell.

I highly recommend looking into a Disney Cruise even more so one with Marvel Day at Sea  Almost a year later we are still reminiscing about our time spent on the Disney Wonder.  My only downside is that I wish we had more time to do everything.  The ship has so much to offer that you can’t possibly do it all.   After all, it is a vacation so relax and have a wonderful time with your family and friends.

Don’t forget to get a picture with Mickey Mouse too!

Have you been on a Disney Cruise before? What was your favorite part?

So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macy So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macys and Santa! Last night, we took the train into the city to preview #Macys #Santaland I have to say it was quite magical. Although my youngest was 12, Santa was able to connect to her and put us all in the holiday spirit.

I believe. I believe….

My mom also came with us. We started talking and I think it was almost 40 years ago that she took us to visit Santa at Macys. I was so happy to visit Santa with her and my youngest for a three generation experience.

Don’t forget to check out the beautiful window displays as you enjoy all of #NYC during the holidays!

#ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but #ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental illness and disorders today.

Let’s reduce the stigma by opening up the conversation in the classroom and at home.
As a teacher and a mom of 3, I know how important it is to be there and be a good listener.

Conversations are super important. It’s never too early (or too late) to have these conversations with your students or your own children.

Operation Conversation is a check-in on kids’ mental health. When we start simple habits of conversations, we can learn about concerns or problems our students are dealing with, help them problem solve, and build their confidence for life’s difficult moments.

Teachers can help to destigmatize mental health starting in their own classrooms by talking to their students about mental health using a free deck of conversation starter cards. Parents can also use these cards to support good conversations while at home. I know as a mom, I can use all the help I can get.

#Giveaway Alert!
I have 5 decks of Conversation Starter Decks of cards to give away to 5 lucky winners to help you get the conversation flowing!

New York state has so many wonderful places to be New York state has so many wonderful places to be a part of . From the bright lights of NYC, to quiet places of respite in its parks and wooded areas. Time to walk, hike and reflect. Being active and busy is something that I hope my teens learn from and something we can do together to enjoy all the beauty and nature it has to offer while keeping NY tobacco free. Did you know that our oldest generation of smokers are now dying? After them, you have me and a very large group of people who do not smoke at all. So, who’s next? Instead of taking cigarettes off the shelves, the tobacco industry views today’s teens as tomorrow’s customers, using menthol-flavored products to attract and addict kids – and it’s working. More than half (54%) of youth who smoke (ages 12-17 years) use menthol cigarettes. making it easier for kids to start and harder for them to quit. Menthol is not JUST a flavor, it attracts and addicts kids As a teen mom, I am sharing this so we can all take action! Learn more about the impact of Big Tobacco’s manipulative tactics on our communities and how you can take action to help end this injustice.
