All-New Sesame Street Christmas Special on DVD for the First Time!
– ‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all down the street – one little monster was stirring and couldn’t get to sleep. With cookies on the table and Santa on the way, Elmo asks his father to tell him the story behind the traditions of Christmas Day. Will you be on the naughty or nice list this year as Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Sesame Workshop release, Once Upon a Sesame Street Christmas, an all-new Sesame Street Christmas special, for the first time on DVD on October 10, 2017. Available to own for $14.97 SRP.
It’s Christmas Eve and Elmo couldn’t be more excited for a visit from Santa and gifts under the tree! To coax the little monster into drifting off to sleep, Elmo’s dad spins him a bedtime story about his great-great-grandmonster, back when Sesame Street was a very different place and everyone was so grouchy Santa didn’t even visit. With some help from his friends it is Elmo’s job to bring kindness, holiday cheer, and the spirit of Christmas to Sesame Street. But the question remains, will it be enough for Santa to visit all of the street’s little monsters?
Once Upon a Sesame Street Christmas includes brand new holiday content from Sesame Studios as well as an additional full length special, Elmo Saves Christmas.
“What could be more magical than Christmas on Sesame Street?,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Bros. My Mom bought my Daughter a Sesame Street Playhouse when she was about 4 years old. My Mom died a little while after that. We kept it and my Granddaughter had it and passed down to my Grandson. When I think of Sesame Street I think of that first. I think Sesame Street is a great show for kids to actually learn things in a clean healthy way. What a fabulous TV Show!
When Bert and Ernie were singing about the rubber duckies is a fav kid memory of Sesame street.
My favorite Sesame Street memory was taking my daughter to see the show live when she was a child.
Sesame Street wasn’t around when I was little.. I watched Romper Room! But I do have good memories of my children watching and playing and laughing with the Sesame Street characters.
I use to watch it when I was little and remember big bird being a big deal. Now I see my little girl watching it, and it is all about elmo.
My oldest daughter loved Elmo(well i kind of did 😉 ). She had a little denim baseball cap, that had Elmo on it. She wore it all the time.
I remember one of my first movies I saw in a theater being “Follow That Bird” w/Big Bird in it! Such a sad movie but cute too!
My sister and I would watch Sesame Street while we were eating a snack that my mom made us.
I remember watching Sesame Street when I was a kid, now my own kids watch it. I think it’s great that one show can span generations!

Oh my goodness I don’t have just one memory in particular (Guess I’m getting too old to remember lol) but I did look forward to watching the show as a child growing up in the 1970s.
