Looking for a great getaway? How about a deliciously sweet getaway that you can drive to?
Head to Hershey Lodge for a wonderfully comfortable stay, great restaurants and a fun waterpark too!
A few weeks ago, my family and I were hosted at Hershey Lodge for the weekend. We had visited HersheyPark before, but have never stayed at the Lodge. We did not know what we had been missing. 
The room was spacious. One of our most favorite moments was when we realized that there were Hershey Kisses in the design of the sheets! Loved it! We loved it even more when we found out that you can purchase the sheets in the gift shop. Sweet!
After driving from NYC and checking in to the hotel, we were hungry and decided to eat lunch at the Hershey Grill. It was a beautiful day so we ate outdoors and enjoyed the pond adjacent to the restaurant. There were a variety of dining options that we all enjoyed.
After lunch, we wasted no time getting our bathing suits on and heading to Hershey’s Water Works. Lots of fun indoor water park activities as well as some outdoor fun too.
We took notice of the house rules and realized that this was the perfect way to spend our afternoon before a park preview later in the evening.
The girls had a blast on the Twizzler Twists.
The tube twists right outside the building and back. I do not think I could count how many times they were up the stairs and down the tube!
In the pool, you had the option of playing basketball, attempting Reese’s Water Walk or playing with the dolphins. You can see what her favorite part was!
We were lucky to have a beautiful day and enjoy some relaxing time outside too. The Outdoor Splash Pad is right outside Water Works.
In the evening, we decided to visit the park for Park Preview. Did you know that you can go into the park a few hours before on the night before to preview the park and enjoy the rides and attractions? Shhh, it is a secret.
And, when you pay for parking, save the ticket stub. The next morning, when you go back to the park, show them your ticket stub and park ticket and you do not have to pay again!
After enjoying some of the rides, we headed to Chocolate World for some dessert. Doesn’t this sundae look awesome? It tasted delish too.
After a busy day, it was time to head back to the hotel for some much needed rest.
In the morning, we headed to Fire & Grain located in the Hershey Lodge lobby.
The had a breakfast buffet with many choices as well as the option to have an omelette made with your choice of fillings.
When in Hershey, you must have mini kisses on your waffle. It was the perfect touch!
I didn’t have the waffle but I did add kisses to my oatmeal. That’s right! When in Hershey….
After breakfast, we took a walk around the lodge.

While staying at Hershey Lodge, you are able to measure yourself and see what type of rider you will be for your visit. I can’t believe how much she has grown.
Then, you also do not need to drive! Complimentary shuttle service is available right outside of the hotel.
During our visit, we enjoyed the waterpark and many of the rides. We also enjoyed being together as a family and having good old fashioned fun!
The girls and I had a blast. 2017 is a great year to be #HersheyParkHappy

Looks like you had a fantastic visit! My family and I stayed at Hershey Lodge a few years ago and it was a great time. The amusement park at Hershey is one of our favorite summer vacation day trips.
My daughter who is 11 loves Hershey kisses, which they don’t seem to sell anymore in the supermarket here in the UK. I wish we could just jump in the car and drive to the place, looks a great place to go!! Thanks for sharing!!

Hershey Park and the lodge are on our family travel “to visit” list! I think my boys would have a blast with that water park.

It’s a great place especially for family! I love that there’s plenty of things to do here! The rooms look nice and so does everything else. The food is awesome as well!

Hershey is one of the places my kids loved visiting. The Hershey Lodge looks so amazing to stay out. The breakfast looks so tasty too.

We went to Hershey last spring but with 5 of us the Lodge wasn’t possible for us to stay in; it looked amazing though and my husband and I have plans to go back one time just our own. I’d love to check out the gardens too. It’s such a fun area to explore; who wouldn’t love chocolate world?!
