Spring sports season is upon us. This means practices, games, double headers, packing snacks and drinks so that my girls are ready to play. As a mom there are moments when, you can often forget to take care of yourself. Sitting on the sideline is not going to help me stay healthy. I need to get up and get in the game too.
The last couple of days have been above average temps and it can be a challenge to stay hydrated especially when you are trying to stay active.
I have three simple tips on how to get enough hydration throughout the day.
-
Drink water throughout the day. Slow and steady wins the race is the key here.
-
Eat fruit. I like to have fruits like watermelon and pineapple.
-
In addition to drinking water, drinks with coconut water help to hydrate especially when you are being active. This is where BODYARMOR LYTE is the perfect drink.
I was familiar with the BODYARMOR brand as it is a drink that my girls enjoy when playing sports. I was eager to try BODYARMOR LYTE because it was 20/cal per serving and naturally sweetened). I love the flavors and especially the fact that it has coconut water. It is the perfect addition to the water that I have drank and it gives the nutrients that my body needs while I enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle.
As you can see, no more sitting on the sidelines for me. While at the field for practices, instead of sitting, I started playing catch. Would you believe that my mitt is almost 30 years old? I know the game and now it it time for me to play too.
BODYARMOR LYTE is heavy on hydration and LYTE on calories. When keeping active outdoors in the heat, I need a drink that provides superior hydration. It is also low in sodium and high in potassium.

Have you tried BODYARMOR LYTE? How do you stay hydrated?
These are excellent suggestions. I don’t think most people realize how serious it can be to be dehydrated esp in the heat.
Especially important during those real hot summer days. I already am aware of the first 2 tips. However, it’s good to now know coconut water helps hydrate you.
My son is in a lot of sports and he drinks a lot of water.. These drinks would be great for him to have also. I didn’t know drinks with coconut water helps hydrate you.
I really like the new drinks that are coming out. They are packed not just with juices but with other nutrients that are being lost. In the heat, water is number 1 but getting in proteins and the myriad of other nutrients is important too!
These are great suggestions. I have such a hard time staying hydrated myself. We live in florida and it can get so hot!
These are excellent tips, thank you for sharing will definitely try these.
I have to try this, I have a hard time drinking water. Sometimes it actually feels like sand going down my throat. I had a surgery gone bad and I have all these problems because of it. Thanks for the idea, hopefully, it will go down better.
