Cars 3 is hitting theaters June 16th and before you see the latest Disney & Pixar collaboration check to see if their Road to the Races tour is coming to a city near you. Get up front and personal with Lightning McQueen, Cruz Ramirez, and Jackson Storm. These larger than life characters are full-size replicas of your favorites and new arrivals to the big screen.
Recently one of their pit stops on the tour was right here in NYC, where my Cars fan and I got to check out a glimpse of the movie and check out some of the sponsors of the tour. The tour will be racing around the country just in time for the opening of the movie.
The interactive stations are great for kids of all ages. Coppertone was on hand letting children assit with changing tires to really feel like a member of the pit crew.
Coppertone® is creating a racer pit crew that encourages visitors to take part in a tire-changing activity and photo-sharing opportunity. A leader in the sun care industry, Coppertone is made by Bayer HealthCare, LLC.
It was such a treat to be standing right next to Lightning McQueen. I felt like we were right in the movie with all the Cars. The staff was on hand to take pictures for you so the whole family can be in the shot.
Kids can make mini versions of Cruz Ramirez, Lightning McQueen and Jackson Storm or decorate a race car and see who will be at the finish first. Each station has someone on hand helping the children make these cut-out cars.
Mattel presents an interactive play area, which sends Lightning McQueen and other racers down the gravity drop and launches them into action in new play sets that feature locations from the movie. Also on display will be a collection of die cast racers from past and present. Mattel is the leading global childhood development and play company.
Alamo has a great station set up for kids to color a huge wall. They can leave their mark for the afternoon. As the drawing board gets filled up staff members are on hand to change up the large coloring pages. Download your own coloring pages right here.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez (voice of Cristela Alonzo), with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage! Directed by Brian Fee (storyboard artist “Cars,” “Cars 2“), produced by Kevin Reher (“A Bug’s Life,” “La Luna” short) and co-produced by Andrea Warren (“LAVA” short), “Cars 3” cruises into theaters on June 16, 2017.
