There are some films you can watch over and over and share the enjoyment you had as a child and share it with your own children. To this day my mother still say is “Spit, Spot” and we all have a giggle. That is one of the things that Walt Disney knew to do is share memories of special moments that will last a lifetime. It is hard to believe that a sequel can be made in 2017 from a film that was introduced to the world in 1964.
I am very excited to share with you the first glimpse of Golden Globe® winner Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins in MARY POPPINS RETURNS, the all new sequel to Disney’s 1964 film MARY POPPINS.

Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt) returns to the Banks home after many years and uses her magical skills to help the now grown up Michael and Jane rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives in MARY POPPINS RETURNS, directed by Rob Marshall.
Directed and produced by Rob Marshall, MARY POPPINS RETURNS also stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer and Julie Walters with Colin Firth and Meryl Streep.

The Great Movie Ride – Hollywood Studios -Walt Disney World
The film, which introduces three new Banks children, played by Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and newcomer Joel Dawson, also features Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury. The film is set in 1930s depression-era London (the time period of the original novels) and is drawn from the wealth of material in PL Travers’ additional seven books. In the story, Michael (Whishaw) and Jane (Mortimer) are now grown up, with Michael, his three children and their housekeeper, Ellen (Walters), living on Cherry Tree Lane. After Michael suffers a personal loss, the enigmatic nanny Mary Poppins (Blunt) re-enters the lives of the Banks family, and, along with the optimistic street lamplighter Jack (Miranda), uses her unique magical skills to help the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives. Mary Poppins also introduces the children to a new assortment of colorful and whimsical characters, including her eccentric cousin, Topsy (Streep). The film is produced by Marshall, John DeLuca and Marc Platt. The screenplay is by David Magee based on The Mary Poppins Stories by PL Travers with Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman writing all new songs and Shaiman composing an original score.
MARY POPPINS RETURNS will be released in U.S. theaters on December 25, 2018!

Remakes are fun if done well. It’ll be neat to see this with a similiar story but new characters. The actress playing Mary is a great pick, good resemblance etc.
I hadn’t heard about this, I am thrilled! My daughter will love it!
I am looking forward to watching Emily Blunt in Mary Poppins.
I had not heard they were making another Mary Poppins. No one can compare to Julie Andrews but Emily comes close. I don’t think I’ve heard her sing before.
Can’t wait to see this new movie. Hoping my children will love it too.
Im excited for this. I love Mary Poppins so ready to see this new story. Looks really good!
I watched this on tv when i was little but i don’t think my kids have seen it. They probably wouldn’t see either if they didn’t remake it. I’ve tried watching GOOD movies like Mary Poppins but they weren’t having it, maybe when they are older.
I love that photo. I am not sure how I feel about the casting. But it has a mysterious feel to it.
I can’t wait to see this..and Emily Blunt was a great choice!
Love this movie and this looks wonderful.
One of my favorite movies of all time. Will be seeing the new one.
I can hardly wait to see this remake. I want to see my Granddaughter’s eyes when she sees it. I was about her age when the 1st Marry Poppins came out and I loved it. I still sing those songs to her when we’re together. I know Emily will do a great job!
