Did you know that Camelback Mountain Resort is only 90 minutes away from NYC?
My family and I joined Momtrends for the First Ever Ski Day!
My family and I found Camelback Resort to be the perfect place to learn how to ski, snow tube and enjoy a waterpark all in one fun-filled busy day. We have been to the Poconos before but this was our first time to Camelback Resort.
Camelback Resort Offers Tons of Skiing Fun
This was the first time my girls were going to ski. I did not know how they would like it so I signed them up for lessons. Camelback’s Learn Here Learn Right, award-winning terrain-based SnowSports School is highly-acclaimed. We were up bright and early to get our rentals and on the slopes at 9 am.
Take a look at our experience that day.
Lessons were perfect for my first-timers. After the 90 minutes, all three, ages 6, 10 and 13 wanted more. This made me so happy to hear that they felt successful and wanted to go again.
Although it was January, it was a steamy 50 degrees. When lessons were over, we went for lunch with some of our favorite blogger friends.
After lunch, we headed to the Camelback snow tubing area. This was another first time experience. Laughs, screams and good times were had by all. We went during the day, but you can also go tubing at night!
Camelback is home to the Biggest Snowtubing Park in the U.S.A and their new laser & LED lit Galactic Snowtubing begins at 5:00PM each day, and is not to be missed!
So Much More than Skiing at Camelback Resort
After snow tubing, we headed to the indoor waterpark, Aquatopia. We are big fans of waterparks and the girls enjoyed the variety of waterslides and tunnels.
Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark had a variety of fun water areas. While my kids enjoy the action, I enjoy the relaxing Lazy River and the Outdoor Hot tub.
Camelback Resort is now the most interactive mountain resort in the U.S.A.
Location: Camelback Resort is only 90 minutes from New York City and two hours from Philadelphia in the Pocono Mountains at 301 Resort Drive, PO Box 168, Tannersville, Pa. 18372. Phone: 570.629.1661
I love that they have a water park for the night time! Seems like a full day of fun for everyone!
I haven’t ever heard of this resort before. I’ve been to the Pocono mountains in the summer and I bet it is lovely in the winter. However, this year has been odd weather is there even much snow on the east coast this year? If you ever go back to the Poconos check out Great Wolf Lodge, your kids will love you for it!
This looks awesome! I have always wanted to go skiing. Being from Florida, we don’t see much snow lol
I haven’t heard of this particular Camel Back before (I know of one in Arizona). Looks like such a fun time. I love that they were in the snow one minute and in bathing suits the next LOL!
My brother was just asking us if we wanted to take a big family vacation and go skiing with all the kiddos. I will have to check this out and see if it will logistically work for all of us.
You look like you made wonderful memories! When my daughter was 8 or 9, we took her skiing for the first time. She did better than both of us.
This resort has so many fun activity options for every member of the family! So cool!
Wow looks like you had so much fun! Snow and a water park! So many fun memories being made!
We just went skiing a couple weeks ago. My 9 year old boys are loving to ski and my 5 yr old girl went down the bunny slope for the first time. Their favorite is tubing though.
Oh wow! This looks like such a fun family getaway. I love family getaways and this looks like an awesome one!
Not too often do you get to play in the snow and in the water all in the same trip! This looks like great fun!
It looks and sounds like you had such a fun time! I’d love to do something like this with my family x
It looks like you had a really great time! We’re about 3 hours away from NYC so this is something I might have to look into for our family.
This looks like so much fun! Such a perfect family vacation 🙂
This looks like so much fun! I’ve been really wanting to go skiing lately but there’s not bloody snow here in the UK! Ugh. I really miss cross country skiing as well from when I was a kid and lived in the Czech Republic (there’s A LOT Of snow right now!) x
You’re certainly making me want to plan a little ski trip for my family! My hubs has been pushing for that for ages!
This looks like SO much fun! I would love to go snow tubing! But where you really had me was when I saw the indoor waterpark. That would be perfect right now. I feel like I can never get warm enough in the winter.
Tubing is on my bucket list! You look like you had a wonderful time!
I don’t ski, nor have I tried tubing before, but the waterpark sure looks like fun! My family and I love going to water parks.
was just wondering how all the skiing was doing this winter as we have not had much snow in the midwest. great to see you all had a blast.
You guys look like you had a blast. I so want to go visit this place. Thanks for sharing the fun!
This looks so fun! I’d love to do this with my son once he gets older. Getting out for a few hours is a great way to blow off some steam!
This is the first time I’ve ever heard of Camelback resort. Momtrends sure knows how to treat you well – what a super trip for all!
