Fall weekends have been filled with outdoor sports and play. While my 10 year old has been on the field, my 6 and 12 year old have been rooting for their sister and playing their own games on the side too. Balanced and active play lays the foundation for a skilled, healthy, resilient, and successful society. Did you know that play is disappearing at home, in school, and in communities? 70% of moms played outside when they were kids, 31% of their kids play outside today. We will not let that happen in my house.
Some of the games are local and some are quite a driving distance. This is why I always carry snacks with me to enjoy during and after the game. One of our favorite snacks to take on-the-go is CLIF Kid®. CLIF Kid® makes nutritious snacks from organic ingredients that are specially-crafted for kids’ developing taste buds and active lives.
Some of the reasons that I love CLIF Kid® Zbars:
- Made with organic ingredients
- Have important nutrients for active kids
- Appropriate portion size for kids in flavors they love
- Have no high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors (or synthetic preservatives)
CLIF Kid is dedicated to reclaiming play all year long. And we’re encouraging boys and girls everywhere to get back outside, push their boundaries and feed their adventures. We know all about pushing boundaries. This soccer season has been an intense one. It all started with a newly formed team. The kids were a perfect match and knew how to talk to each other on the field. After a few wins, they started to wonder how the season would go as they played new teams.
My youngest started to watch the girls play and try some of the moves on her won. She is truly an outdoors girl and loves creating her own games and activities to do while outside.
Our last game was an awesome one! With this win, my daughter’s team was undefeated. We were excited. They were estatic! It was a beautiful day and an amazing way to end the soccer season. You can see how happy she is!
Before our journey home, the girls chose their favorite bars. This day will be one that we will not forget!
