Do you wake up in the morning not able to see clearly? I do, however I have the option of easily putting on my glasses that are next to my bed. I even have the choice of wearing contacts if I choose for the day. It can be frustrating to not see the time on the alarm clock or the television clearly when I don’t have my glasses on.
There are many times when I can’t even find my glasses. Did I leave them next to the computer or in the kitchen? I am lucky enough to have a backup pair if needed. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t wear glasses or contacts. I have become so dependent on them. If I weren’t wearing them I wouldn’t be able to drive, see a movie clearly or pretty much function without squinting the whole time.
Did you know that 1 in 7 people worldwide need glasses,
but lack access to vision care? For them, life is a blur.
When you help the world see better, you help the world live better. Seeing clearly doesn’t only affect you it affects everyone. Clear sight empowers people to see a better future for themselves and the world.
This World Sight Day, join UNBLUR Life for the 1.1 billion people who need glasses, but lack access by donating $10 you can help provide glasses to someone in need.
CLEAR VISION EMPOWERS
- STUDENTS to be twice as effective at school.
- EMPLOYEES to be 35% more productive at work, and earn up to 20% more per year.
- EACH OF US to deepen our connection to the people and the world around us.
If you wear glasses when did you start to notice that your vision wasn’t as clear as it once was? I remember being in school not being able to see the chalk board. I kept having to move closer and closer to make out the words. It was frustrating not being able to distinguish letters and see images. Once I had an eye exam to figure out I needed glasses everything became crystal clear. What a huge difference it was! What if you didn’t have an eye exam and had to live in a constant blur? How would you feel?
What to do something now that will make a difference?

Help OneSight create a global movement on World Sight Day to give people everywhere access to clear sight. How will you do your part?
I love that they are looking to help those who need glasses. My little guy wears them and I know how important they are! Go OneSight!
i love when companies give back. Glasses are important for kids to be able to learn adn see. I like this as my son wears glasses.
I love when corporations take the time to look out for the people of the world. Vision is extremely important and so many cannot properly get assistance.
As someone who heavily relies on corrective lenses, I totally feel for people who don’t have access to that. I can’t imagine how crippling that would be.
This is such a great cause. When I was younger I could barely see what my teachers were writing on their boards, but I was too timid to say anything so I was in my 20’s when I finally got glasses! Now I only have to wear them for distance (so not every day) and I couldn’t imagine being without them. Our vision is so precious 🙂
