To begin the evening’s festivities, we headed to The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel for the Premiere party.
I was immediately offered a ride on Elliot to kick off the party. Elliot was gentle and excited that so many people had come out to see his movie!
While at the party, they had many enjoyable treats. The Marshmallow Pops with Green Frosting and the Miniature Apple Pies were my favorite.
I had a star-struck moment while at the party when I ran into Lou Diamond Phillips who graciously took a photo with me.
It was then time to make my way to the red carpet. Just like I always love to follow a theme, so did Disney. We walked a green carpet and I wore my green dress to get into the spirit. I felt like a movie star and had to stop and take a photo to savor the moment.
I was so excited to see Auli’i Cravalho, star of Disney’s Moana. Pretty soon, she will be walking the red carpet as we anxiously await the release of Moana this November.

The stars of Pete’s Dragon – Bryce Dallas, Oakes Fegley, and Oona Laurence stopped for a photo opp together. Stay tuned for my interviews with them.

We also spotted Wes Bentley. We also had the opportunity to interview him. Stay tuned for that one too!

This is one of my favorite scenes!
After viewing the movie, I know we could all agree it was magical! All 25 of us took a photo together. I must say we all look lovely in our shades of green!
The next day, we had the opportunity to tour El Capitan Theater. I loved learning all about the history of the theater. I even found a hidden Mickey!
Some facts that I learned are:
- The El Capitan Theater celebrated 90 years! A big Happy Birthday!
- First film shown at El Capitan Theater was Citizen Kane May 8, 1941.
- First Disney movie shown here was The Rocketeer in June 1991. Did you know that Disney will be remaking The Rocketeer with a female cast? Stay tuned for more on that.
At the end of our tour, we had the chance to take a picture around the Wurlitzer organ.
Being at the Red Carpet World Premiere was an experience I will never forget!
Pete’s Dragon opens in theaters this Friday, August 12.
I was invited to attend an all expense paid trip to LA to attend the premiere of Pete’s Dragon and be a part of the #PetesDragonEvent. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved your dress and had a fabulous time at the premiere also. I wish I had seen the hidden Mickey but I know I will be looking for it if I ever get back to the El Capitan Theater.
