On August 7th, America will be celebrating National Friendship Day, and as part of this celebration, FTD would like to help you #ConnectBetter with the original Like button – roses. Isn’t it a wonderful feeling to receive flowers from friends and family. Even better when it is a total surprise.
FTD asked if I would like to surprise a blogging buddy with flowers and of course the first person that popped into my head is Destiny. Destiny is the owner of the blog Suburban Wife City Life. I have met so many wonderful women and men from blogging. While living in NYC we are lucky enough to attend events often and be a part of a wonderful extended family.
I first met Destiny a few years ago at an event in the city and was thrilled to see her familiar face while attending a book signing for Martha Stewart.
Great minds think alike with semi coordinating outfits. A denim jacket never goes out of style. Speaking of style I’ve never met someone who can easily say “oh, yes I made my own outfit and it took no time or I am making coordinating Halloween costumes for the family. Destiny is “sew crafty” and I am amazed and what crafts and projects she is constantly working on and how she executes everything with style and a bit of flair. She always has a trick up her sleeve.
We all know how some events can be very hush-hush and the golden ticket for 2015 was being invited to Oprah’s Favorite Things. Know one knew who was going to be in attendance and yet again a wonderful friendly face was there.

Destiny knows how to make everyone feel welcome and included for events and parties. During Blogger Bash she had her selfie stick out and was able to capture many NYC bloggers for the this great photo. Thank you Destiny for always being such a great friend and blogging buddy.

Thank you FTD for providing the flowers for myself as well as sending a bouquet to Destiny. As always all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Such a sweet post. I have so many BFFs I have met on social media.

Yay! Thank you so much. This was an amazing post and I’m so lucky to have such a great friend like you to chat with and have fun with. Can’t wait for our next adventure together!
I like looking at flowers, but don’t like taking care of them. I totally missed National Friendship Day.
I did not know about that day. Looks like you have a good friend in photos
I never heard of this special day before – I’ll have to keep it in mind for next year!!
I think about friends that I have met through school, neighborhood and others.
