The spring is a great season for outdoor sports. As much as I love that my girls are super involved in extracurricular activities, there is a definitely a mess that goes along with it. Living in the car each afternoon as well as the numerous dirty uniforms can truly take a toll of this busy mom’s day.
Swimming for all three girls brings bathing suits, towels and a change of clothes.
Two softball teams bring two shirts, two pants, and 2 pair of stinky socks. And don’t forget sliding shorts underneath. They will protect you when you slide but your pants will be filled with dirt and grass stains.
Just like the other sports, lacrosse brings more uniform changes. I don’t want to leave anything out so you will be seeing our soccer uniforms in just a few more sentences.
I’ll let you in our some of my secret weapons to keep going strong day after day, game after game.
Since most of my time after school is spent on driving the girls here and there to a variety of fields, I like to stock up up on household essentials so that we do not run out.
This is where Costco comes to the rescue. I can find all of my P&G Household Needs right there!
During my most recent trip to Costco, I purchased Tide Advanced Power, Bounty Advanced, Downy Fresh Protect and Febreze Air Effects.
Febreze Air Effects are perfect. They don’t just mask. Instead they truly eliminate odors. With all of the cleats at the bottom of my stairs, Febreze Air Effects comes to the rescue.
Another favorite of mine is Downy Fresh Protect. They work well with any temperature water and should be added at the beginning of the wash.
As the uniforms pile up and need to be reworn right away, I turn to Tide Advanced Power. It offers Tide’s Best clean. It has advanced stain-fighting plus whiteners with color protection. This is how I keep my girls looking their best on the field.
Downy Fresh Protect offers all day odor control. I really have noticed the difference. Another great feature is that it has a motion activated odor shield. This makes it perfect for all uniforms.
As you can see, my trunk is filled with chairs to watch the games, scooters for later and Bounty Advanced. I like to be prepared when we are out for any of life’s messes. Ice cream truck – no problem. Spill in the car – no problem. I am ready!
Having three girls, I never know what types of activities the weekend may bring. Just a few weeks ago, we participated in a local color run. Oh lovely color!
That is why I won’t get caught without my P & G Household Needs to keep clean.
I recently did a very similar shopping run to Costco. We needed Tide, Dawn, and paper towels! It’s the time of year.
You have a busy schedule! But the Tide Pods have become my favorite! And it works so well.
A good laundry detergent is key for our messy clothes too! Looks like your kiddos keep you busy!
Oh my goodness, you do have lots of extra laundry to worry about! Looks like they are having fun though. We always buy our detergent at Costco. ?
Totally making a note! With baseball season right around the corner, I’ll need these tips. Haha!
The most important thing was your kids had fun and blast! And Tide Advanced will help you to in laundry. Such a smart tips and wise!
You are one busy mom! 🙂 Great tip ideas for this upcoming season of sports for my kiddos!
With 4 competitive swimmers we have a lot of sportswear and swimwear that we need to keep clean and smelling fresh as well. Thanks for the tip!
Ugh, the sports are killing me with laundry too! I have three in swimming lessons, two in baseball and one that does horse riding. It is a weekly struggle to stay up on the laundry and keep their uniforms looking clean.
and i thought getting around with one kid was hard!
That’s one thing about kids, they are trying on the laundry budget. Warehouse stores are a heaven send. P&G products are indispensable this time of year.
Whew your family is busy! We have just Tball and I am exhausted with all the running around 🙂
I don’t know how he will do it. I have just one girl who is sports addicted and her dad and me 🙂 and it’s a struggle.
You have convinced me to try those tide pods! And honestly I could not exist without my bounty!!
Stocking up on cleaning supplies is a level of comfort!
Between baseball, soccer, and basketball in our house, there is always a need to stock up on laundry detergent at Costco!
I’m obsessed with these products, especially the Febreeze lately – it has been a life saver. Why is summer so smelly? lol
Looks like you guys are very busy. I want to try the downy fresh protect.
I can’t get to a Cosco, I would soo love it, and I hear they have a good car buying program, too.
