It is time to be a savvy spa goer and indulge on the $50 treatments. Make a day out of it with your girlfriends, be pampered and enjoy all the amenities of your favorite salon or spa. Spa Week Treatments Alleviate Technology-Related Conditions
Spa Week’s national event from April 11th-17th allows millions to experience the healing and therapeutic benefits of spa treatments for just $50. Technology gives us a wealth of opportunities to have a more comfortable life. We have become accustomed to tech indulgences such as shopping online, working on our tablets, posting to social media and binge watching Netflix anywhere. Everything we need to do or share is a call, text or post away. While all of these modern lifestyle techniques are extremely convenient, they are doing actual physical harm to our minds and bodies.
From April 11th-17th, Spa Week is back to remind us about the importance of taking care of ourselves by treating technology-related injuries and stress. Spa Week has successfully spread this message for over a decade and their biannual events enable millions to lead a healthier lifestyle. Hundreds of spa, wellness, and fitness facilities will be offering premium full-service treatments at a major discount of $50 each. During Spa Week, set your favorite technology device aside and allow yourself the time to truly re-balance and heal your mind and body.
During Spa Week, from April 11th-17th, signature treatments will be offered at a special rate of $50/treatment (normally $100-$500) at participating locations.
This spring, Spa Week has teamed up with spas across the country to deliver healing and therapeutic treatments to combat the effects of technology. Long hours hunched over a computer can create a myriad of problems. Your favorite spa has a treatment designed just for you.
I was honored when Spa Week asked if I wanted to enjoy a treatment at a spa of my choosing. Of course I wanted to check out a place I hadn’t been to before but was also close to home.
Nicholas Day Spa in Pelham, NY came to mind and I was so happy to have chosen such an inviting place. From the moment I arrived for my Lemon Drop Reflexology treatment, I was treated like a queen. The staff was so kind and welcoming showing me around the spa to the lounge area and offering me lemon water to keep me hydrated during my treatment.
A comfortable robe was waiting my arrival, once changed I was able to sit in their relaxation room. It is such an intimate setting. The best part of coming here is that it isn’t overcrowded compared to other spas. You can actually sit and read a magazine in peace and quiet. This was also a great place to come to after my treatment. I was able to continue with the ambiance of a tranquil day with no interruptions. There is no need to feel rushed out, take as much time as you need before heading on with your day.
Once I was settled in on the plush and warming spa table my treatment would begin. I am on my feet for 10-12 hours a day and this is exactly what I needed. The dark room filled with the light from the aromatic candles made me drift away to an ever so calming place. My technician was wonderful inquiring about any injuries or trouble areas to the body. Each foot was applied just the right amount of pressure with her specific hand and finger techniques that started to melt away the stress. As she was using oils to massage my feet I could feel it trigger other body parts giving me goosebumps on my arms and head. Reflexology is based on a system of zones that correspond to specific areas of the body.
After the 50 minute treatment my feet felt better than ever. My whole body felt rejuvenated from this treatment as well.
I will be visiting Nicholas Day Spa more often to keep my body looking and feeling good. If you are looking to try a new spa I recommend coming here, it is a short walk away from the Metro North Train station in Pelham NY. You will be so glad you made the trip.
Check out their website for other spa amenities as they are a full service salon as well.
After choosing one or all three of their spa treatments why not choose to get a new hair style or even a blowout for the day. It is important to take care of your self and step away from social media and our tech gadgets from time to time.
