LG Black Stainless Steel Offers Limitless Design Opportunities

disclosure -sponsored post

To celebrate the launch of LG Black Stainless Steel, LG hosted an event at One World Observatory with HGTV Design Stars David Bromstad and Emily Henderson.

While at One World Trade Center, we discovered the limitless design possibilities brought to life through a collection of Black Stainless Steel-inspired Pinterest boards created by Bromstad and Henderson. This is exactly why I love Pinterest.  Your inspiration can become a reality as you curate  awe-inspiring images from Pinterest.

HGTV design stars Bromstad and Henderson  showed us  just how dramatically LG’s Black Stainless Steel Series can elevate and complement an eclectic range of cutting-edge and classic design styles.

They used Pinterest as a way of gathering ideas and inspiration for a Contemporary Kitchen and a Dream Beach Kitchen.  Read below to find out how you can enter the  LG Limitless Design Contest.

LG’s new black stainless finish, featured in an array of new refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers and microwaves, is an exciting evolution to the traditional stainless steel that has become a mainstay in tens of millions of American kitchens. The modern update features a timeless aesthetic that seamlessly complements a range of infinite kitchen design styles and colors. Its warm, satin-smooth and sophisticated finish is fingerprint and smudge resistant, making it easier than ever to have a premium kitchen that is effortless to maintain.LG Black Stainless Steel Series - Lifestyle Image #3

As a mom who tries to keep things clean with three children, I need to rewrite fingerprint and smudge resistant because that is one of the features that I think is awesome!

Another great feature is the inside storage in the refrigerator.

“I believe that every room in the house should have some element of black to help ground all of the other design choices, while also making a statement,” said Emily Henderson, stylist, designer and season five winner of HGTV’s “Design Star.” “With its beautiful and versatile finish, LG’s Black Stainless Steel Series is a smart investment and the perfect touch of warmth and luster for those looking to update their kitchen – whether their style is classic with clean lines or modern with bold accents.”

Limitless Design Pinterest Contest Brings New Finish Option to Consumers

“We’ve seen stainless steel move from an exclusive high-end segment to an aspirational category and now to mass premium products, so this is the optimal time to update the category,” said David VanderWaal, vice president of marketing for LG Electronics USA. “Core and premium brands have introduced new colors to meet the needs of consumers who desire change, and as a pioneer of the black stainless steel movement, LG has created an exciting new finish in the category that offers consumers limitless design possibilities to enhance the look of their kitchen.”

To give kitchen design enthusiasts across the nation a unique opportunity to showcase their Pinterest skills, LG Electronics invites consumers to take part in the LG Limitless Design Contest and create their own kitchen design Pinterest boards inspired by Black Stainless Steel.

The contest, which runs through Jan. 29, 2016, encourages participants to pin elements that inspire and embody the theme each entrant selects (i.e., rustic country, beach house, American classic, retro chic, etc.). Boards will be judged based on creativity, diversity of pins and the contestants’ abilities to deliver on a distinct theme and/or tell a strong story.

Two grand prize winners will be selected and receive a complete kitchen suite of LG Black Stainless Steel Series appliances, $25,000 and a design consultation with Henderson or Bromstad to completely make over their kitchens. Pinterest fans can visit HGTV.com/LGContest to enter.

Wow, that looks so nice. I would love to have that! They’re also holding such a great contest that I would love to join myself… but it seems it’s only open to U.S.?

I’ve always stayed away from stainless steel for that reason. I’ll have to give it another look now that I know my kids fingerprints aren’t going to be all over it.

I know many people who look out to Pinterest for home styling and decorating tips. The posts there are really inspiring! LG’s black stainless finish looks so sleek and elegant. I’d also want that for my future home. 🙂

I would certainly like to upgrade my appliances in the new year. We want a new fridge with a water dispenser and that makes crushed ice. I also want the freezer on the bottom. I think it would give us more storage space for sure!

It’s hard to get past those globe lights in the first picture…they are so pretty. Anyways, I have always loved the LG brand (for electronics), I’m not familiar with their appliances. However, the black stainless steel is definitely a winning feature for this line.

I would give anything to have my kitchen overhauled by LG! Everything is such so fresh and clean, it’s gorgeous! Thank you for sharing! 🙂

So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macy So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macys and Santa! Last night, we took the train into the city to preview #Macys #Santaland I have to say it was quite magical. Although my youngest was 12, Santa was able to connect to her and put us all in the holiday spirit.

I believe. I believe….

My mom also came with us. We started talking and I think it was almost 40 years ago that she took us to visit Santa at Macys. I was so happy to visit Santa with her and my youngest for a three generation experience.

Don’t forget to check out the beautiful window displays as you enjoy all of #NYC during the holidays!

#ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but #ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental illness and disorders today.

Let’s reduce the stigma by opening up the conversation in the classroom and at home.
As a teacher and a mom of 3, I know how important it is to be there and be a good listener.

Conversations are super important. It’s never too early (or too late) to have these conversations with your students or your own children.

Operation Conversation is a check-in on kids’ mental health. When we start simple habits of conversations, we can learn about concerns or problems our students are dealing with, help them problem solve, and build their confidence for life’s difficult moments.

Teachers can help to destigmatize mental health starting in their own classrooms by talking to their students about mental health using a free deck of conversation starter cards. Parents can also use these cards to support good conversations while at home. I know as a mom, I can use all the help I can get.

#Giveaway Alert!
I have 5 decks of Conversation Starter Decks of cards to give away to 5 lucky winners to help you get the conversation flowing!

To enter:

New York state has so many wonderful places to be New York state has so many wonderful places to be a part of . From the bright lights of NYC, to quiet places of respite in its parks and wooded areas. Time to walk, hike and reflect. Being active and busy is something that I hope my teens learn from and something we can do together to enjoy all the beauty and nature it has to offer while keeping NY tobacco free. Did you know that our oldest generation of smokers are now dying? After them, you have me and a very large group of people who do not smoke at all. So, who’s next? Instead of taking cigarettes off the shelves, the tobacco industry views today’s teens as tomorrow’s customers, using menthol-flavored products to attract and addict kids – and it’s working. More than half (54%) of youth who smoke (ages 12-17 years) use menthol cigarettes. making it easier for kids to start and harder for them to quit. Menthol is not JUST a flavor, it attracts and addicts kids As a teen mom, I am sharing this so we can all take action! Learn more about the impact of Big Tobacco’s manipulative tactics on our communities and how you can take action to help end this injustice. Let’s keep our kids enjoying the wonderful things our state has to offer. Link in bio #NotJustMenthol #TobaccoFreeNYS #ad @tobaccofreenys
