Family memories big or small are what shape us into who we are and who we will be. Sometimes it doesn’t have to be a big event to create a memory. It can be a small moment that could last a lifetime.
My husband and I like to surprise the girls with an unexpected treat every now and then. This is what we did the other evening when my husband stepped out onto our terrace and a few minutes later returned with ‘Smores made on the grill. If it were the summer, it would not have been that surprising but on a school night in the middle of November, this is surely a big hit.
Honey Maid & Wholesome Snacking – The classic graham cracker makes s’mores fun for the whole family.
Honey Maid has long recognized and celebrated that while the makeup and day-to-day lives of families have evolved, the idea and importance of wholesome family connections remains the same.
I have been teaching for 17 years. During this time, I have met all kinds of families. I have met adopted children who could share their stories and children who didn’t know they were adopted just yet. Love support and dedication is needed in any family and each family had a wonderful story to share.
National Adoption Day hits home because a close family member has adopted three children. I remember when I found out my niece was going to be adopting three children, I could not have been more proud of her.
Like the American family, Honey Maid has continued to evolve across its 90 year heritage. From classic grahams to Teddy Grahams, Honey Maid’s wholesome products are made with whole grains and real honey, without high fructose corn syrup or artificial colors, and are wholesome snacks families can agree on for any occasion.
Take a look at how to create every day wholesome snacks like the Very Berry “Cheesecakes.”

Adoption is a great thing, and I think needs to be less stigmatized, esp with newborn adoptions. My friend’s aunt adopted her own grandchild over horrific things that parents did, and for someone around age 50ish to adopt is truly outstanding. Reassurance needs to be brought to those who have been adopted that just because they were adopted there is nothing wrong with them. They were adopted to have a better life which truly makes it an act of love.
I think adoption is one of the greatest things anyone can do. It’s a beautiful thing all the way around. Two people get to be parents, and a child gets to have parents. <3
My husband is actually half adopted (his dad adopted him when he married his mom) and he has a sister who is fully adopted. I know many other friends who are too. It really is a beautiful gift.
Adoption can be a good thing if it’s for the right reasons. It has its benefits to all parties involved in the process. Whether one is the birth mother, the baby, or the person who decides to adopt , there are plenty of good things that may result from it. The simple fact that other people are willing to take care of somebody else’s child is good in itself.
I am so happy that I saw so many posts this year regarding National Adoption Day. So many of my friends have gone thru the process resulting in the children making all of our lives complete.
smores are the best treat ever!!!! i love national adoption day. i was adopted so it of course means a lot ot me.
These s’mores are a nice surprise from the grill, cute idea. I think adoption is great, too bad quite a few countries have stopped foreign adoptions. It would help, too, if people would consider children who are a little older (over 7). I would love to adopt, but don’t have the circumstances they require.
