My writer, Megan, recently received complimentary tickets to the Big Apple Circus in New York City. All opinions are her own.
We are big fans of the Big Apple Circus. We just attended for the second year in a row and the whole family loved it.

When the Big Apple Circus arrives in New York City, it takes place in huge tents on the grounds of Lincoln Center, a beloved cultural hub. It’s an intimate venue with a single ring and way-smaller crowds than any other local circus.

The current show is called The Grand Tour and it’s set in the 1920’s and features acts from the four corners of the globe. Each act includes set design, costumes, and music tied to this theme. It was a cohesive and visually appealing extravaganza.

Personally, my favorite thing about the show, aside from the thrilling acts, is the live band. They played fantastic jazzy music that was perfectly chosen for the theme and for each different act.
I’m also happy to know that the cost of my ticket contributes to the Big Apple Circus Community Programs; such as, Clown Care, Circus After School, Circus for All, Circus of the Senses and Circus Embraces Autism.
