Do you feel fatigued and a little out of shape? Or do you want to improve upon your active lifestyle? Well I learned last week that I am a bit out of shape. Even though I track about 5-6 miles a day at work, I am not getting enough cardio in for the day to burn enough calories and that my intake of calories is probably getting a little too high. With a few quick and simple moves that I can add to my daily routine I should see results in no time. No gym required.
With a small intimate group hosted by Intro NYC we were able to get a lot accomplished. All you need are some resistance bands water and a positive attitude and you can start to get in shape.
This session was hosted by Solange Ross, founder of Beach Baby Fitness, licensed physical therapist, ACE certified Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist.
Core Conditioning is a total body workout that targets abdominal training, back strengthening, posture, alignment, upper/lower body toning and stretching. Solange fine tunes all the postural muscles not targeted in a general exercise class. All exercises tone the core with correct breathing and technique to make your body more efficient with carry over into your daily activities as a mom.
As we were all laying down with legs in the air we were focusing on our core. Our core is so important to keep engaged and it supports us in all we do. With small repetitive moves of crossing our legs back and forth you can really start to feel your muscles working.
With Fiji Water we were all staying hydrated throughout the class.
With some basic steps of jumping up on a park bench and extending your leg out with a full kick motion you start to feel the burn on your back side. Doesn’t everyone wants their thighs and booty to be in the best shape possible.
If you don’t have weights, you can use your water bottles to give you a little more tone a definition to your arms.
Sometimes, I get in a rut working out in the same location so coming into the city was a lot of fun. It also made think about switching up my routine and how I can incorporate what I learned today into my daily activities.
