Halloween Deals for the Whole Family Today Only! #OrangeTuesday $250 #Giveaway

Orange TuesdayTM is the new Black Friday. Just like Black Friday signals shoppers to focus on the upcoming holidays, Orange Tuesday, the day after Labor Day, is when shoppers begin to think ahead to fall events, especially Halloween.

On Orange Tuesday®, Sept. 8, CostumeExpress.com, is holding a one-day-only sale offering 20 percent off all orders, and up to 88 percent on costumes, including limited-time,  low prices on Spooky Steals, similar to “door busters” on Black Friday.

Halloween Deals for the Whole Family

On this day CostumeExpress.com, the family-friendly online costume retailer, reveals its top 10 costumes and décor items, and is holding a one-day-only sale.

My girls are in their tweens and their favorite costumes from the list were the Mad Hattar and the Warrior Huntress.  I loved the features of the Mad Hattar costume for Tweens.  My oldest is a big fan of The Hunger Games so a Warrior Huntress costume was a perfect pick for us. All ages love to get dressed up but sometimes it is hard to find appropriate tween costumes.  This is why I love the idea of a Top 10 list.

Top Ten Tween Costumes

“After Labor Day, school is in session, new schedules are established, and thoughts naturally turn to fall activities. This is the starting point of the Halloween season,” said Dotty Zolper, merchandising manager for CostumeExpress.com. “Therefore, CostumeExpress.com celebrates Orange Tuesday by giving shoppers advice and inspiration about the most popular costumes and décor of the season, and offering reduced prices on popular costumes with a one-day-only Halloween sale.”

To help people choose, the CostumeExpress® Top 10 Lists feature the season’s top trending costumes, which include characters from the biggest TV and movie releases this year, for the following categories:

  • Adult Costumes
  • Kids’ Costumes
  • Girl’s Costumes
  • Boy’s Costumes
  • Tween Costumes
  • Group / Family Costumes
  • Pet Costumes
  • Yard Decorations
  • Porch Decorations
  • Indoor Decorations

My younger daughter took a look at the Top Ten Girl’s Costumes and being a Star Wars Rebels fan, she immediately picked out this costume! She is so ready to save the world and galaxies far far away!

Just like we are getting excited for Halloween by preparing with Orange Tuesday, other places are also preparing for Halloween too.  We were lucky to have our costumes to participate in Hot Halloween in late August at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk.

So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macy So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macys and Santa! Last night, we took the train into the city to preview #Macys #Santaland I have to say it was quite magical. Although my youngest was 12, Santa was able to connect to her and put us all in the holiday spirit.

I believe. I believe….

My mom also came with us. We started talking and I think it was almost 40 years ago that she took us to visit Santa at Macys. I was so happy to visit Santa with her and my youngest for a three generation experience.

Don’t forget to check out the beautiful window displays as you enjoy all of #NYC during the holidays!

#ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but #ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental illness and disorders today.

Let’s reduce the stigma by opening up the conversation in the classroom and at home.
As a teacher and a mom of 3, I know how important it is to be there and be a good listener.

Conversations are super important. It’s never too early (or too late) to have these conversations with your students or your own children.

Operation Conversation is a check-in on kids’ mental health. When we start simple habits of conversations, we can learn about concerns or problems our students are dealing with, help them problem solve, and build their confidence for life’s difficult moments.

Teachers can help to destigmatize mental health starting in their own classrooms by talking to their students about mental health using a free deck of conversation starter cards. Parents can also use these cards to support good conversations while at home. I know as a mom, I can use all the help I can get.

#Giveaway Alert!
I have 5 decks of Conversation Starter Decks of cards to give away to 5 lucky winners to help you get the conversation flowing!

New York state has so many wonderful places to be New York state has so many wonderful places to be a part of . From the bright lights of NYC, to quiet places of respite in its parks and wooded areas. Time to walk, hike and reflect. Being active and busy is something that I hope my teens learn from and something we can do together to enjoy all the beauty and nature it has to offer while keeping NY tobacco free. Did you know that our oldest generation of smokers are now dying? After them, you have me and a very large group of people who do not smoke at all. So, who’s next? Instead of taking cigarettes off the shelves, the tobacco industry views today’s teens as tomorrow’s customers, using menthol-flavored products to attract and addict kids – and it’s working. More than half (54%) of youth who smoke (ages 12-17 years) use menthol cigarettes. making it easier for kids to start and harder for them to quit. Menthol is not JUST a flavor, it attracts and addicts kids As a teen mom, I am sharing this so we can all take action! Learn more about the impact of Big Tobacco’s manipulative tactics on our communities and how you can take action to help end this injustice. Let’s keep our kids enjoying the wonderful things our state has to offer. Link in bio #NotJustMenthol #TobaccoFreeNYS #ad @tobaccofreenys
