Travesias Latin Fusion Cuisine is definitely a culinary voyage. I was so happy to find a local restaurant where each tapas and entree was full of flavor that I definitely will be coming back. A true journey of the palate where I experienced a variety of Latin flavors an tastes from around the world.
Travesias is located at 3834 E. Tremont Ave. in the Throggs Neck Section of the Bronx. I was invited along with fellow Bronx Bloggers to sample tastes from all over the world. Owner Brian Martinez was happy to share about the cultures represented in each offering.
My absolute favorite were the Crab Rangoon – golden crab purses with sweet and sour guava sauce.
Pina Colada Shrimp Skewers had a unique taste. I loved this coconut shrimp! The coconut is not overbearing and the sauce is a sweet treat.
For our main dish, we had Chaufan Peruvian Fried Rice. I cannot begin to tell you how much I loved it. The blend of all of my favorites – churrasco, chicken, longaniza, maduros, green and yellow peppers and onions in a meal that allows to enjoy what fusion is really about.
There is always room for dessert!
Cafe con Leche Creme Brulee – need I say more?
Cheese cake topped with sweet plantain with a taste of Nutella– scrumptious!
Travesias is one delectable journey that I want to revisit!

Must try this place!!!
The crab and shrimp appetizers are exactly the kind of thing I’d enjoy. I wish we had a place like this around here.
These recipes look so good, I copied them down. I am going to make all of it this coming weekend. I thank you so much for the share.
