Back to School with Hanna Andersson #ilovemyhannas #backtoschool

disclosure -sponsored post

Hanna Andersson is one of my favorite stores for back to school shopping.  Having three girls, it is very easy to fall in love with Hanna because the outfits last and are a classic style.  This is why #IlovemyHannas!

Back to School Hanna Andersson

We headed to one of our local Hanna Andersson store for back to school shopping.   Did you know that they carry up to size 140 in store and can order 150 and 160 online for you with free shipping when ordered in store?  With growing girls, this is good news for me.

The first thing we did when we arrived in store was measure how much we had grown.  Looks like we have reached 110 – 120!  (We still have favorite PJs in size 90 that have turned into capris.)

Sizing Hanna Andersson

As we shopped around the store, we took a look at all the back to school styles.

Fall Hanna Andersson

We knew Hanna had our favorite Star Wars characters, but we were super excited to see that they has Peanuts too.  We can wait to see the movie in November.

Heading to the fitting room, we decided that 110 fit best.  It was hard to make decisions on our favorite pieces but I know you are going to like our final pics. Finding clothes for kindergarten can be a challenge but we think we found some perfect pieces.

Hanna Andersson fall clothing

Getting ready for 4th grade, we found the perfect back to school look.

Doesn’t she look Pretty in Peplum?  That’s the name of this adorable top with mini floral embroidery.

We paired it with Very Gud Livable Leggings.

These two are going to be ready for school whether the weather is warm or cool.

My kindergartener looks very studious in Tapestry Blue Art Tee with the Solar System.  Science style is a fave of mine! We paired with Very Güd Livable Leggings in Macaron and the Pink Bow Headband.

As the fall weather comes, we are going to be all set with our All Fur it Vest.  They loved it so much that they each got one.  I see endless possibilities with these vests transitioning from fall to winter.  (I still have a red Hanna tutu from a few years back that will look too cute with the fur vest.)

We paired it with a Very Güd Pima Tee and Navy Folklore Applique Skirt.  I love the garden look and she loves the way it twirls.  Win, win.

We thought it would look cute with the Fun Footless Ankle Tights in Heather Gray Multi.  Love the colors in the skirt and tights together.

I think she is ready for apple-picking upstate with this adorable Apple Red Pintuck Popover.  I love plaid and she does too.

Our love for Hanna started with some special infant dresses/ tunics passed down from my niece to my daughter. My first in-store purchase was our matching Christmas pajamas last year (yes, the adorable Hanna stripe pjs come in adult sizes!!!).

I love the solar system top above and I always think patterned footless tights are a win. The All Fur It vests are super cute, too! What great mix and match, timeless pieces!

So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macy So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macys and Santa! Last night, we took the train into the city to preview #Macys #Santaland I have to say it was quite magical. Although my youngest was 12, Santa was able to connect to her and put us all in the holiday spirit.

I believe. I believe….

My mom also came with us. We started talking and I think it was almost 40 years ago that she took us to visit Santa at Macys. I was so happy to visit Santa with her and my youngest for a three generation experience.

Don’t forget to check out the beautiful window displays as you enjoy all of #NYC during the holidays!

#ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but #ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental illness and disorders today.

Let’s reduce the stigma by opening up the conversation in the classroom and at home.
As a teacher and a mom of 3, I know how important it is to be there and be a good listener.

Conversations are super important. It’s never too early (or too late) to have these conversations with your students or your own children.

Operation Conversation is a check-in on kids’ mental health. When we start simple habits of conversations, we can learn about concerns or problems our students are dealing with, help them problem solve, and build their confidence for life’s difficult moments.

Teachers can help to destigmatize mental health starting in their own classrooms by talking to their students about mental health using a free deck of conversation starter cards. Parents can also use these cards to support good conversations while at home. I know as a mom, I can use all the help I can get.

#Giveaway Alert!
I have 5 decks of Conversation Starter Decks of cards to give away to 5 lucky winners to help you get the conversation flowing!

New York state has so many wonderful places to be New York state has so many wonderful places to be a part of . From the bright lights of NYC, to quiet places of respite in its parks and wooded areas. Time to walk, hike and reflect. Being active and busy is something that I hope my teens learn from and something we can do together to enjoy all the beauty and nature it has to offer while keeping NY tobacco free. Did you know that our oldest generation of smokers are now dying? After them, you have me and a very large group of people who do not smoke at all. So, who’s next? Instead of taking cigarettes off the shelves, the tobacco industry views today’s teens as tomorrow’s customers, using menthol-flavored products to attract and addict kids – and it’s working. More than half (54%) of youth who smoke (ages 12-17 years) use menthol cigarettes. making it easier for kids to start and harder for them to quit. Menthol is not JUST a flavor, it attracts and addicts kids As a teen mom, I am sharing this so we can all take action!
