My nieces and I were recently given the opportunity by Kidz Vuz to preview several episodes of the latest Amazon Original Kids Series Wishenpoof. With lots of laughter and their imaginations running wild while watching the program you could see their eyes widen in amazement as to what new adventures Bianca would be taking them on. From swimming under the sea as a mermaid, turning into a monkey in the jungle swinging through the vines and our most favorite “wish” of being an astronaut learning about the planets, we were intrigued with all Bianca could do.
Bianca and her mother share a special bond while creating her wishes. Her mom helps fix the wishes when it is time to go to school with a snap of her fingers everything is back to normal. She gives her advice that you don’t always need magic to do what you believe in.
While watching the episodes with my nieces it reminds me of how we play make-believe and have fun adventures in the car while I am driving them to school. We love to have sing-off challenges to see who can make up the silliest songs, or speak in different accents. The drive everyday can be a little boring over time, but letting our imaginations run wild we have traveled to far off lands.
This summer while on vacation, my nieces and I went kayaking. Yes kayaking can be fun with the oldest in a single and I in a tandem with my middle niece, we allowed ourselves to be cruising over the Seven Seas, with the Loch Ness Monster, looking for sunken ships that might have buried treasure.
From being pirates or members of an elite race team we were laughing and giggling the whole time. Every outing can be and adventure as long as we are together we are always having a great time. We also know when “playtime” is over and we might need to be a little more serious and to be aware of our surroundings.
I had asked my middle niece what her favorite parts of the series were and she had such great responses that I had to share with you.
- Wishenpoof shows real life problems and how you can solve them.
- The show gives ideas on how to make projects and experiments and providing a list of ingredients and supplies.
- Her favorite episode is when Bianca is an astronaut and travels in outer space. Science is so important and learning about the solar system is something that will be happening in school very soon.
- She related to the episodes so much that she wants to go snorkeling now to explore under the sea just like Bianca.
This Amazon series would be perfect for ages 9 and under, offering educational tips and a great learning guide to new adventures.
Wishenpoof is the newest Amazon Original Kids Series supporting kids as lifelong creative learners by giving them the life skills and mindset they need to lead purpose-filled, creative lives. Hope Cassandra performs 13 ballads as the singing voice of Bianca. The series is Directed by Gilly Fogg (Bob the Builder) and Phillip Stamp (Little Bear) serves as Supervising Producer.
Wishenpoof incorporates Families and Work Institute President Ellen Galinsky’s (Mind in the Making) “Seven Essential Life Skills” framework—life skills that help children reach their full potential and unleash their passion to learn. Based on the most rigorous brain and child development research, this framework promotes executive function life skills like focus and self-control, perspective taking, communicating, creativity, critical thinking, taking on challenge, and self-directed engaged learning.
