Our Family Staycation at Minerals Resort & Spa

Disclosure Crystal Springs

Minerals Resort & Spa  is a great staycation destination for summer.  There are times that it is hard to get away for an extended time as a family of 5.  That is why finding a staycation that was close to NYC was perfect for us.  Minerals Resort & Spa is less than 1 1/2 hours away and it was the perfect getaway for much needed family time.

Minerals Resort at Crystals Springs - New Jersey

For our one night stay, my girls fell in love with the variety of pools both indoor and outdoors.

Minerals Resort and Spa heated pool

One of the outdoor pools was heated and it was just divine.

Minerals Resort & Spa pool

Right next to the heated pool, there was another nature pool that had a cliff where kids of all ages were taking turns jumping off into 14 ft. of water.

Minerals Resort Nature Pool

This pool resembled a lake and had a serene look.  We enjoyed some quiet time sitting on sides of the pool enjoying the view.

While relaxing at the pool, we were also able to enjoy poolside service for lunch and drinks.  This truly made our staycation.  Just a short ride away from home, but I felt like I was far far away enjoying all the resort had to offer.

Mineral Resort Kids Swim Play

My youngest had a lot of fun in this Sprinkler area.  The Minerals Sports Club had a great variety of water play options and we found ourselves enjoying it all.

After being in the sun, it was time to take it indoors to the beautiful indoor pools.  Waterfalls, caves, and underwater fish tanks were lots of fun.  I even was able to join an evening Water Aerobics class.  So much fun!

As part of the indoor sports club, guests can also spend some relaxation time in the hot tubs, sauna and steam room.  My husband and I took turns watching the kids while we enjoyed total relaxation.

Minerals Resort Room

Our Luxury guestroom at the Minerals Hotel offered a king sized bed and pull out couch.  It gave us plenty of space and amenities we needed to enjoy our time.

Our dinner and breakfast were at the Kites Restaurant, located in the Minerals Hotel.  Our food was delicious and our servers were attentive.

Although summer is a time for relaxing, it can still be a challenge to get the whole family together.  This is one of the reasons why my family and I loved our stay at Minerals Resort.  For our one night stay, we enjoyed lots of family fun and just time being together.  My girls loved the pools and didn’t want to leave.  They said they wanted to go back another time and visit the Adventure Center.

I too want to go back as family.  However, I also would love to plan a Girl’s Weekend Getaway as well as the possibility of a romantic getaway with my husband.  I see visits to Elements Spa in my future. Being so close to NYC, it gives me the opportunity to easily come back and enjoy all Crystal Springs has to offer.

While packing to head home, one of my daughters handed me this note.  She said that I should include it in my review to show that she loved it too.

So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macy So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macys and Santa! Last night, we took the train into the city to preview #Macys #Santaland I have to say it was quite magical. Although my youngest was 12, Santa was able to connect to her and put us all in the holiday spirit.

I believe. I believe….

My mom also came with us. We started talking and I think it was almost 40 years ago that she took us to visit Santa at Macys. I was so happy to visit Santa with her and my youngest for a three generation experience.

Don’t forget to check out the beautiful window displays as you enjoy all of #NYC during the holidays!

#ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but #ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental illness and disorders today.

Let’s reduce the stigma by opening up the conversation in the classroom and at home.
As a teacher and a mom of 3, I know how important it is to be there and be a good listener.

Conversations are super important. It’s never too early (or too late) to have these conversations with your students or your own children.

Operation Conversation is a check-in on kids’ mental health. When we start simple habits of conversations, we can learn about concerns or problems our students are dealing with, help them problem solve, and build their confidence for life’s difficult moments.

Teachers can help to destigmatize mental health starting in their own classrooms by talking to their students about mental health using a free deck of conversation starter cards. Parents can also use these cards to support good conversations while at home. I know as a mom, I can use all the help I can get.

#Giveaway Alert!
I have 5 decks of Conversation Starter Decks of cards to give away to 5 lucky winners to help you get the conversation flowing!

To enter:
1. Comment on this post as to why you would love the conversation starter deck of cards.
 2. Follow @OnOurSleevesOfficial
3. Follow me @SavvyMomNY I will pick the winners after 10pm on 11/22

New York state has so many wonderful places to be New York state has so many wonderful places to be a part of . From the bright lights of NYC, to quiet places of respite in its parks and wooded areas. Time to walk, hike and reflect. Being active and busy is something that I hope my teens learn from and something we can do together to enjoy all the beauty and nature it has to offer while keeping NY tobacco free. Did you know that our oldest generation of smokers are now dying? After them, you have me and a very large group of people who do not smoke at all. So, who’s next? Instead of taking cigarettes off the shelves, the tobacco industry views today’s teens as tomorrow’s customers, using menthol-flavored products to attract and addict kids – and it’s working. More than half (54%) of youth who smoke (ages 12-17 years) use menthol cigarettes. making it easier for kids to start and harder for them to quit. Menthol is not JUST a flavor, it attracts and addicts kids As a teen mom, I am sharing this so we can all take action! Learn more about the impact of Big Tobacco’s manipulative tactics on our communities and how you can take action to help end this injustice. Let’s keep our kids enjoying the wonderful things our state has to offer. Link in bio #NotJustMenthol #TobaccoFreeNYS #ad @tobaccofreenys
