Odd Mom Out Premieres on Bravo TV #OddMomOut

Odd Mom Out premieres this Monday on Bravo and you are not going to want to miss this show.  There are many types of moms out there and in a city of over 8 million people, you can only imagine the variety of women.  Odd Mom Out takes us to the UES (Upper East Side) and as one may have read some of the other novels out recently, we experience an elite group of moms that can only fill us with laughs.  They remind me of the popular cliques in high school only with loads of money.
odd mom out bravo
In life, I have felt like the Odd Mom Out at times.  Dressing up with the kids when others aren’t.  Acting silly when I shouldn’t. But, hey, we all have to have fun!

Kerri Odd Mom Out

In Odd Mom Out, you will see how Jill holds her own and stays strong with the help of her friend Vanessa.  I like to be like Vanessa, the one that grounds you and makes you realize the craziness.  That is the kind of BFF that I totally love!  Although her husband’s family is off the wall, he helps Jill stay grounded too.  I know my husband helps me with this too.  It is so good to have a support system to stay sane!

To get in the mood, I hosted a mini screening party to view two hilarious episodes of Odd Mom Out. We laughed and laughed and laughed.  There were key moments where we have all been there especially exercise madness.  If you are from NYC, you definitely will share a laugh for the Kindergarten application moments. I love that even though she lives in a wealthy neighborhood, Jill is considered “poor”.  I love how Odd Mom Out pokes fun at how absurd it really is!  Click here to see the trailer.

Odd Mom Out Screening Party

Thanks to Bravo for sending Minibar Delivery for my guests to enjoy. To set the stage, I took out my Waterford Crystal to add to the ambiance and get us in the mood for some high end laughs. What better way to enjoy than with our own special Mom-osa.  Moms deserve their own drink!

Now that Odd Mom Out will be airing June 8th, who will you watch with?  Who are the people that ground you and keep you sane?

I am the odd mom out in almost every way imaginable. I had my daughter at 40, so I guess that is to be somewhat expected…lol.

Looks like a fun show! I’ll have to wait until it’s out on Netflix or similar though since we don’t have cable. 🙁

I can’t wait to watch Odd Mom Out on Bravo. I can already tell I am going to enjoy it. I will probably DVR this and watch it while the kids are asleep and hubby is doing his own thing and I will probably enjoy a glass of wine while I watch, lol. This might be my new guilty pleasure that I do just because I enjoy it and it’s my time to kick back and relax.

This sounds like a good show! My kids and their friends always talk about what an odd mom I am so I think it would be a good match for me.

My husband is great at keeping me sane. If it has been “one of those days,” then he comes home and helps with dinner, diapers, and entertaining the kids. But I am also lucky in that my kids are pretty chill too. The kids take after their Dad! I’ll keep an eye out for this show. It sounds fun to watch.

I keep seeing promos for this show and I must say it has caught my interest. This looks like a good one to put on the dvr and check out with my husband. We love to watch shows like this together at the end of a long hard day at work. It’s a great way to escape reality for a little while.

Interesting! This is the first time I’ve heard of this show, and it sounds like it could be a lot of fun – imagining it would be something along the lines of ‘Gossip Girl from the mom’s perspective’. 🙂 I’ve been through UES a few times (on vacation), and have to agree, it’s a different type of reality, from designer strollers to wife bonuses for doing a good job of ‘running the household’. Curious to hear what this producer’s take is on it… sounds like a fun show to check out!

My Mom is the person who keeps me grounded and sane. She is probably the most sane and most patient one out of all my family members. This TV show sounds like it will have quite a few laughs in it.

I love Odd Mom Out, it’s such a funny show and I can certainly relate. I love that photo of you and your friends. Even thorough the picture I can tell that you have each other’s backs and that’s really necessary for odd moms to have 🙂

So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macy So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macys and Santa! Last night, we took the train into the city to preview #Macys #Santaland I have to say it was quite magical. Although my youngest was 12, Santa was able to connect to her and put us all in the holiday spirit.

I believe. I believe….

My mom also came with us. We started talking and I think it was almost 40 years ago that she took us to visit Santa at Macys. I was so happy to visit Santa with her and my youngest for a three generation experience.

Don’t forget to check out the beautiful window displays as you enjoy all of #NYC during the holidays!

#ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but #ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental illness and disorders today.

Let’s reduce the stigma by opening up the conversation in the classroom and at home.
As a teacher and a mom of 3, I know how important it is to be there and be a good listener.

Conversations are super important. It’s never too early (or too late) to have these conversations with your students or your own children.

Operation Conversation is a check-in on kids’ mental health. When we start simple habits of conversations, we can learn about concerns or problems our students are dealing with, help them problem solve, and build their confidence for life’s difficult moments.

Teachers can help to destigmatize mental health starting in their own classrooms by talking to their students about mental health using a free deck of conversation starter cards. Parents can also use these cards to support good conversations while at home. I know as a mom, I can use all the help I can get.

#Giveaway Alert!
I have 5 decks of Conversation Starter Decks of cards to give away to 5 lucky winners to help you get the conversation flowing!

New York state has so many wonderful places to be New York state has so many wonderful places to be a part of . From the bright lights of NYC, to quiet places of respite in its parks and wooded areas. Time to walk, hike and reflect. Being active and busy is something that I hope my teens learn from and something we can do together to enjoy all the beauty and nature it has to offer while keeping NY tobacco free. Did you know that our oldest generation of smokers are now dying? After them, you have me and a very large group of people who do not smoke at all. So, who’s next? Instead of taking cigarettes off the shelves, the tobacco industry views today’s teens as tomorrow’s customers, using menthol-flavored products to attract and addict kids – and it’s working. More than half (54%) of youth who smoke (ages 12-17 years) use menthol cigarettes. making it easier for kids to start and harder for them to quit. Menthol is not JUST a flavor, it attracts and addicts kids As a teen mom, I am sharing this so we can all take action! Learn more about the impact of Big Tobacco’s manipulative tactics on our communities and how you can take action to help end this injustice. Let’s keep our kids enjoying the wonderful things our state has to offer. Link in bio #NotJustMenthol #TobaccoFreeNYS #ad @tobaccofreenys
