Mother’s Day Dune Jewelry #Giveaway

This Mother’s Day, Dune Jewelry will make great gifts for the special women in your life!
If you place your order by April 16th, it will sent in time for Mother’s Day.
I love to wear jewelry with sentimental meaning…pieces that remind me of someone or something that makes me happy. Dune jewelry has such a cool concept in jewelry design, so now I can be reminded of my favorite place in the world, the beach!
Each piece of Dune Jewelry has a sample of sand from the beach of your choice in a way that displays the beautiful color and texture of the sand.  There are many of beautiful and on trend women’s and men’s pieces to choose from.
When you order Dune Jewelry, you choose sand from thousands of locations spanning all 7 continents around the globe, or you can even submit sand of your own.
Dune Jewelry
I had the chance to order a piece of jewelry for myself to review.  At first, I thought I would choose sand from a beach on Long Island that’s close to my heart. Long Island sand is beautiful and soft, but I can always get my hands on some. So, I chose sand from one of the “most beautiful beaches in the world,” according to authorities on travel, Harbour Island, Bahamas.  This sand is almost white with little specks of pink.  It looks so beautiful in my bracelet.
Dune Jewelry 2
For my Dune Jewelry bracelet, I chose sand from Hana.  It is one on the most isolated towns in Maui and is truly a tropical paradise.
Dune Jewelry Inlet Cuff Hana Sand
I remember the drive on the Hana Highway while on my honeymoon.  Amazing waterfalls, beautiful beaches and a serene atmosphere.  I wanted to remember my time 14 years ago and I thought that this inlet cuff with sand from Hana would be perfect.
Dune Jewelry Inlet Cuff Silver
This is what’s so fun about Dune Jewelry.  You can find sand from a significant place, like your honeymoon, or unique-looking sand from an exotic place.  It’s yours to create for yourself or for a special gift.
We want you to be able to celebrate Mother’s Day in style.  The winner will receive one of each of the bracelets above with the sand of your  choice valued at over $100.
The winner will be notified early and will need to respond immediately with where you would like sand from by looking at the Sand Bank.
Continental US only.

So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macy So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macys and Santa! Last night, we took the train into the city to preview #Macys #Santaland I have to say it was quite magical. Although my youngest was 12, Santa was able to connect to her and put us all in the holiday spirit.

I believe. I believe….

My mom also came with us. We started talking and I think it was almost 40 years ago that she took us to visit Santa at Macys. I was so happy to visit Santa with her and my youngest for a three generation experience.

Don’t forget to check out the beautiful window displays as you enjoy all of #NYC during the holidays!

#ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but #ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental illness and disorders today.

Let’s reduce the stigma by opening up the conversation in the classroom and at home.
As a teacher and a mom of 3, I know how important it is to be there and be a good listener.

Conversations are super important. It’s never too early (or too late) to have these conversations with your students or your own children.

Operation Conversation is a check-in on kids’ mental health. When we start simple habits of conversations, we can learn about concerns or problems our students are dealing with, help them problem solve, and build their confidence for life’s difficult moments.

Teachers can help to destigmatize mental health starting in their own classrooms by talking to their students about mental health using a free deck of conversation starter cards. Parents can also use these cards to support good conversations while at home. I know as a mom, I can use all the help I can get.

#Giveaway Alert!
I have 5 decks of Conversation Starter Decks of cards to give away to 5 lucky winners to help you get the conversation flowing!

To enter:
1. Comment on this post as to why you would love the conversation starter deck of cards.
 2. Follow @OnOurSleevesOfficial
3. Follow me @SavvyMomNY I will pick the winners after 10pm on 11/22

New York state has so many wonderful places to be New York state has so many wonderful places to be a part of . From the bright lights of NYC, to quiet places of respite in its parks and wooded areas. Time to walk, hike and reflect. Being active and busy is something that I hope my teens learn from and something we can do together to enjoy all the beauty and nature it has to offer while keeping NY tobacco free. Did you know that our oldest generation of smokers are now dying? After them, you have me and a very large group of people who do not smoke at all. So, who’s next? Instead of taking cigarettes off the shelves, the tobacco industry views today’s teens as tomorrow’s customers, using menthol-flavored products to attract and addict kids – and it’s working. More than half (54%) of youth who smoke (ages 12-17 years) use menthol cigarettes. making it easier for kids to start and harder for them to quit. Menthol is not JUST a flavor, it attracts and addicts kids As a teen mom, I am sharing this so we can all take action! Learn more about the impact of Big Tobacco’s manipulative tactics on our communities and how you can take action to help end this injustice.
