While on spring break, I was lucky enough to attend a philanthropic event with fellow bloggers that holds a special place in my heart. #EndChildhoodCancer is a hashtag that I’m happy to spread in hopes that it will help others.
Hyundai Hope on Wheels is an organization that raises awareness for pediatric cancer.
The messages of the afternoon completely resonated with me. All of the mom’s on the panel trusted their mother’s instinct when they felt that there was something not right with the diagnosis.
I remember how my mom said she knew right away that my baby brother was not well. Instead of being himself, he was just in the crib not moving around and it was mother’s instinct that made her immediately take him to the doctor.
My brother, who was not yet 2, survived Wilms Tumor and is now a father of 2 with one on the way. When I heard that this year will mark 100 million dollars in donations for life-saving research funds from Hyundai Hope on Wheels, I thought how great it will be to hear about more success stories like his.
Thank you to The Moms for spreading the word about Hope on Wheels and #EndChildhoodCancer.
The video below is a recap of the event and what was shared between the moms of survivors and doctors.

This really is an amazing cause! It’s so important to go with our gut instincts as moms. We are connected to our children and that inner voice is always right! Thank you for sharing such a worthy cause!
What a very important cause! I grew up with a good friend who suffered from pediatric cancer. I truly do not know how their loved ones get through it! There are some really strong folks out there! A mothers instinct is always right! I am happy to hear your brother is a survivor!
YAY to wiping out cancer indeed. Let’s get rid of it for good!
this is awesome that they have raised so much money.
a very worthy cause. We support camp kesem, who provides free camps for children whose parents suffer from cancer. An often overlooked group
Our family has never personally dealt with childhood cancer but as a mother and grandmother, my heart goes out to all that have suffered. I fully support Hope on Wheels and pray that more people join in the cause. Thank you for sharing this with us!
I wish it was that easy to end childhood cancer. I’m glad the word is spreading about it, and raising awareness. Unfortunately this hits close to home, and I’m glad people are talking about it, and big names like Hyundai are joining in to help out.
Mother’s intuition is amazing. Great cause. Thanks for sharing
I’m hoping they find a cure someday. Youtuber Talia Joy died of Cancer at such a young age and she was such a joyful soul
Cancer is so scary but seems even worse when it affects kids! This sounds like a great organization to help fund cancer research!! I love that Hyundai partnered up with them to help wipe out cancer!
I interned at CHOP when I was in seminary and saw so many kids pass away form Cancer. I am thankful that they are supporting this organization.
My sister worked on a cancer floor at a children’s hospital and it was really hard on her. This is a great cause for the Hyundai company to get behind.
That is great that they are spreading the word. I like when big companies raise awareness to sch important causes.
That you for sharing about this event. It is so important to bring awareness to childhood cancers and raise money for research. I agree with what you said. As a mom, it is so important to trust your gut. Sounds like your brother is living a great life now.
Cancer at any age sucks. But when you are a young child that is the worse. Thankfully there are companies like Hyundai that help to raise awareness of this awful disease.
This is a great story that tells people to become more inspired. There are many others in the world who are experiencing the same. Spreading hope through the video and talks will enable children to become more positive in battling through cancer.
This seems like a great way to help people to help people and to work at winning the war against pediatric cancers.
I had no idea that Hyundai “gave back” like this. I used to drive a hyundai and loved my car. I’m totally interested in learning more about this cause. 🙂
Now I admire Hyundai as a company even more because of their Hyundai Hope on Wheels endeavors! Thank you for sharing your story. I hope and pray too that there will be a cure to pediatric cancers.
This is a great cause to raise awareness for this issue. I am loving the support!
~ I am so glad I found this write up. Making us all aware of the fight that goes on to stomp out cancer from all ages knowing it’s the war that just shows up. Reach out to someone that has been hit with cancer or their child is going through it, it’s a battle that’s exhausting but the win is on the horizon. ~
