As a busy working mom with three girls, there are days where it can get pretty overwhelming. I try to put everything into perspective and not stress when the going gets tough.
This winter has been a stressful one. Not only has it snowed, but there were many days of unbearably cold temperatures. Shoveling, shoveling again! Looking for gloves and snow gear over and over. It can make you want to scream.
But instead, I think it is important to reflect and figure out how you can relieve the daily stresses.
My Top 5 Ways to Relieve Stress
1. Take a deep breath and take a look around you.
If it were warmer weather, I would say, Stop and Smell the Roses, but I haven’t seen grass in awhile. Although the challenges of snow and the cold can be overwhelming, it does offer a beautiful way to reflect and look at nature. Even after a cold winter, I find the moments after a snowstorm peaceful.
2. Enjoy the moment.
Get out there and have fun. We all have a lot on our plate but get out there with your children and play.
3. Take the Plunge and go for it.
Don’t be afraid. Have fun and enjoy the moment!
4. Think positive thoughts.
Just when you think it is going to be cold forever, spring might actually arrive. When the sun was shining and my car thermometer was rising, all I could think about was planting beautiful flowers and how happy I felt at that moment.
5. RESCUE Pastilles also help to relieve stress.
