My youngest and I have been reviewing Disney’s Mickey’s Magical Math World and Imagicademy. Disney is launching a new learning brand created for families with children ages 3-8. Their aim is to engage and enrich children through the power of imagination and creativity. She loves anything that allows her to freely explore so this is a perfect fit.
As a Disney fan, she enjoys seeing her favorite characters and trying out all the different games independently. As a mom and Disney fan, I like how they have a variety of math activities that she can easily navigate her way through and feel successful.
Unlike many learning aids that rely on rote memorization and repetitive gameplay, Disney will introduce children to fundamental subject matters through an interconnected system of apps that build upon each other to reinforce learning concepts in immersive and playful ways.
I think it is a great match for the app to be connected to Disney Imagicademy which is the Parents app to monitor their learning progress. In addition to the digital apps, children and parents can engage with the brand in a variety of ways, including a free community parent portal, free Disney Store events, books and magazines, and hands-on learning tools that extend the digital experience to the physical world. I like how it gives you ideas for activities to do off the computer. My daughter loves to create and wanted me to print a Mickey Mouse placemat right away. On or off the iPad, it allows her to learn and explore in playful, imaginative ways. I find that she is counting and adding as she is playing since she is being exposed to these skills while playing with her Disney friends on the app.
There are also some great articles and helpful parenting tips for me to help her get the most out of using the app.
My daughter enjoys the independence of Mickey’s Magical Math World. As a 4 1/2 year old, she is able to navigate the app and play a variety of games. I see that she loves Minnie’s Robot Count Along and I can hear her counting with the app.
She loves to build so Mickey’s Super Rocket Shapes is a great way for her to explore and make her own creative choices.
With products from Disney’s new brand, parents and families can be part of a community that celebrates their children’s creativity and curiosity.
Disney Imagicademy apps are available exclusively for iPad and can currently be found on Apple’s App Store in the Kids, Education and Entertainment categories.

This would be perfect for my youngest! He’s really interested in counting now.
