Secret Extensions- Beauty’s Most Trusted Secret. No one will know but you!

secret-extensions-logo

Do you wish for longer hair and all those great fabulous hairstyles with long flowing curls and braids that go on for miles?  Well now you can get that look and many more by using Secret Extensions by Daisy Fuentes.

I recently attended an event hosted by the Hot Moms Club at the Paul Labrecque Salon in NYC to learn about Secret Extensions.  Prior to the event, I was asked to choose from the 11  hair color options to see which would best match my current hair color.  My hair is dark and tends to have many shades to it as well sometimes having a more red tone to it  but it isn’t quite black.  I chose the Dark Brown option.  They have so many to choose from so that everyone can find the perfect match.

Secret Extensions Event 004

With so many style options to choose from my hairstylist and I decided to go with the

“Naturally Beautiful” look and a twist to the “Sassy Ponytail”

Secret Extensions Event 055

The Secret Extensions are so easy to put on.  It is just like a headband with an invisible elastic band that stays in place.

Just pull out the hair in front to cover up the band and you are all set to go.

Since I do have thick hair, my stylist chose to use 2 sets of the Secret Extensions to match the thickness of hair on

the top of my head to achieve a more natural look.

SE3

I can’t believe how well the color matches and that I look like a totally different person.

I have a hard time letting my hair grow long, so using Secret Extensions is great to use when I want a different look without spending a lot of money on extensions.

I love the convenience of this product and how easy it is to maintain.

You can wash it with a gentle shampoo and let them air dry.
SE2

To get my desired look of long curls my stylist used a curling iron but on a low setting roughly 320 degrees

anything hotter will singe the synthetic hair. But don’t let that fool you, it feels just like real hair and you can

brush it as well to keep it looking great. Only brush the extensions when they are dry.
se4

I recently wore my Secret Extensions out and tried the straightened look.

It was so easy to go from a curl to straight using my flat-iron on the correct temperature. It took no time to get this look.

se5
Even in the natural sunlight you can’t tell the difference if I was wearing extensions or not.

That is just how amazing Secret Extensions is.  No one knows you are wearing it at all.

I never felt the banding sliding at all.  The extensions stayed in place all day long.

Every time I have worn the extensions I have received nothing but compliments on how great my hair looks.

I can’t wait to keep trying new looks with my Secret Extensions!

That looks great! I have been growing my hair out but some days want to cut it short. So this would give me the best of both worlds!

I had no clue hair extensions were for every day hair. I honestly thought it was more colored strings of hair or the hair extensions for like a ball/prom type of thing. I did recently see Blended and how one of the daughter’s had them and thought they were pretty cool. I think it definitely gives a person a fuller looking head of hair.

Wow, your hair looks beautiful. You really can’t tell that they are extensions. My hair is pretty long, but I have some friends who are looking to add some length that I will have to share this with.

I love the long hair on you. I wear my hair so short that I couldn’t pull extensions off. Wish I could though.

Looks like it was such a fun event. I like that you can wash and dry the extensions and even curl them. It would be a lovely addition to holiday party hairdos.

I’ve never felt the need for extensions since I’m frugal and my hair grows pretty fast. They probably look weird and fake on me.

Those look great on you. You can’t even tell! I was checking out their website and the price is right too. I am going to give this a try.

So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macy So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macys and Santa! Last night, we took the train into the city to preview #Macys #Santaland I have to say it was quite magical. Although my youngest was 12, Santa was able to connect to her and put us all in the holiday spirit.

I believe. I believe….

My mom also came with us. We started talking and I think it was almost 40 years ago that she took us to visit Santa at Macys. I was so happy to visit Santa with her and my youngest for a three generation experience.

Don’t forget to check out the beautiful window displays as you enjoy all of #NYC during the holidays!

#ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but #ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental illness and disorders today.

Let’s reduce the stigma by opening up the conversation in the classroom and at home.
As a teacher and a mom of 3, I know how important it is to be there and be a good listener.

Conversations are super important. It’s never too early (or too late) to have these conversations with your students or your own children.

Operation Conversation is a check-in on kids’ mental health. When we start simple habits of conversations, we can learn about concerns or problems our students are dealing with, help them problem solve, and build their confidence for life’s difficult moments.

Teachers can help to destigmatize mental health starting in their own classrooms by talking to their students about mental health using a free deck of conversation starter cards. Parents can also use these cards to support good conversations while at home. I know as a mom, I can use all the help I can get.

#Giveaway Alert!
I have 5 decks of Conversation Starter Decks of cards to give away to 5 lucky winners to help you get the conversation flowing!

To enter:

New York state has so many wonderful places to be New York state has so many wonderful places to be a part of . From the bright lights of NYC, to quiet places of respite in its parks and wooded areas. Time to walk, hike and reflect. Being active and busy is something that I hope my teens learn from and something we can do together to enjoy all the beauty and nature it has to offer while keeping NY tobacco free. Did you know that our oldest generation of smokers are now dying? After them, you have me and a very large group of people who do not smoke at all. So, who’s next? Instead of taking cigarettes off the shelves, the tobacco industry views today’s teens as tomorrow’s customers, using menthol-flavored products to attract and addict kids – and it’s working. More than half (54%) of youth who smoke (ages 12-17 years) use menthol cigarettes. making it easier for kids to start and harder for them to quit. Menthol is not JUST a flavor, it attracts and addicts kids As a teen mom, I am sharing this so we can all take action! Learn more about the impact of Big Tobacco’s manipulative tactics on our communities and how you can take action to help end this injustice.
