Back to School Looks For Less at #NordstromRack ($250 #Giveaway too)

Disclosure Nordstrom Rack

We are heading back to school in less than a week and need to be prepared for all the latest fashion trends for both my girls and myself.

Starting the year off with new clothes always puts everyone in a good mood. The first day of school is one to remember.  Fun pics before the day and great times meeting new friends once with your new teacher.  I have been checking out some websites to do some shopping and came across NordtromRack.com   They have designer brands at awesome prices.

For my daughter, I found a backpack and great clothing brands at great prices.  I got all these items for under $160!

Once the first day of school comes and goes, it comes time for me to meet the teacher at back to school night.  I love that I can find top brands and the latest trends at amazing prices.  I was so happy to find a dress for under $30 that I was able to splurge on accessories to go with my new outfit.  Love the selection of booties that are offered at Nordstrom Rack and I think the ones pictured below will be perfect!  bag

One of my favorites is that NordstromRack.com has  Free shipping over $100.  No one likes to pay for shipping so this is a great savings too!

If it doesn’ work out, NordstromRack.com has easy 90-day returns to stores and you can earn Nordstrom RewardsTM.

All Nordstrom Rack items ship in 1-2 days so you know you will get your outfit on time for Back to School Night!

o Shipping to US, Canada and Australia

All of these items are transitional items.  So, you can wear them year round!

Not that I have whet your appetite for new fall styles, I know you are going to want to shop Nordstrom.com too.  How about a $250 Nordstrom Rack Gift Card to pick up some new trendy items?  I know I would have a party if I won this!

What did or will  your child wear on the first day of school?

Are you going to Back to School night?  Have you thought about your outfit?

Love Back to School shopping. Can’t wait to get some new clothes for my son and I so we will be ready for the new school year. My son will probably wear shorts and a tshirt as long as it is warm enough. For my first day, it will probably be a comfortable pair of dress pants and a shirt.

Even though my kids wear uniforms that doesn’t stop them from steeping it up a notch with cute accessories for my daughter and cool sneakers and hoodies for my son. My daughter hair accessories and jewelry keep her trendy and my sons awesome sneakers and hoodies keep kids asking where he got that from. Also their bookbags and jackets are colorful and warm and a big fashion trend. I have no idea what I’m wearing but I’m sure to make a grand entrance wearing something trendy! Love Nordstrom Rack!!

So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macy So happy to kick off the holiday season with @macys and Santa! Last night, we took the train into the city to preview #Macys #Santaland I have to say it was quite magical. Although my youngest was 12, Santa was able to connect to her and put us all in the holiday spirit.

I believe. I believe….

My mom also came with us. We started talking and I think it was almost 40 years ago that she took us to visit Santa at Macys. I was so happy to visit Santa with her and my youngest for a three generation experience.

Don’t forget to check out the beautiful window displays as you enjoy all of #NYC during the holidays!

#ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but #ad Mental health isn’t talked about enough, but 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental illness and disorders today.

Let’s reduce the stigma by opening up the conversation in the classroom and at home.
As a teacher and a mom of 3, I know how important it is to be there and be a good listener.

Conversations are super important. It’s never too early (or too late) to have these conversations with your students or your own children.

Operation Conversation is a check-in on kids’ mental health. When we start simple habits of conversations, we can learn about concerns or problems our students are dealing with, help them problem solve, and build their confidence for life’s difficult moments.

Teachers can help to destigmatize mental health starting in their own classrooms by talking to their students about mental health using a free deck of conversation starter cards. Parents can also use these cards to support good conversations while at home. I know as a mom, I can use all the help I can get.

#Giveaway Alert!
I have 5 decks of Conversation Starter Decks of cards to give away to 5 lucky winners to help you get the conversation flowing!

Being active and busy is something that I hope my teens learn from and something we can do together to enjoy all the beauty and nature it has to offer while keeping NY tobacco free. Did you know that our oldest generation of smokers are now dying? After them, you have me and a very large group of people who do not smoke at all. So, who’s next? Instead of taking cigarettes off the shelves, the tobacco industry views today’s teens as tomorrow’s customers, using menthol-flavored products to attract and addict kids – and it’s working. More than half (54%) of youth who smoke (ages 12-17 years) use menthol cigarettes. making it easier for kids to start and harder for them to quit.
