Thank you to my writer, Anna Smith, for attending Monster Jam on behalf of Raising 3 Savvy Ladies. All thoughts and opinions are her own.
What better way to spend a Valentine’s Day after 2 snow days than at Monster Jam! We had the opportunity to see this high octane show at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ and it is truly “As BIG As It Gets”!
We started our high octane evening by attending the Party in the Pits. What a great opportunity to meet all the drivers, get up close to the monster trucks and get autographs! My daughter’s favorite Monster Truck and driver is Madusa. What girl wouldn’t love a giant pink monster truck?! I think I would love to have my own Monster Truck just to plow through the unplowed roads and snow banks around town!
All of the drivers are approachable, friendly and take their time to talk to the fans. After the pit party, we took our seats to see the best part… Monster Trucks performing tricks and competing against each other.
The Monster Trucks brought their best wheelies, freestyle moves and donuts. Each category had a winning Monster Truck chosen. The whole crowd gets into it and you can just feel the excitement in the arena. We even got to see 4 of the Nuclear Cowboys perform which were motorbike stunts. They performed amazing tricks.
The whole Monster Jam event is truly family friendly. Here are some cool and fun facts about Monster Trucks. They are about 12 feet tall and 12 feet wide and have 5 1/2 foot tires! Methanol is the fuel the trucks use and it is alcohol based.
Here are a few tips to help make this event the most enjoyable for you and your family:
1) Don’t forget ear protection! You need noise reducing headphones or ear plugs. You can always buy those at the event but if you have them at home you can save yourself $20 bucks.
2) Snow-cones: worth the splurge at $15. You get the keepsake Monster Jam mug and get free refills! 🙂 Who knew!!!

Yay monster trucks! I love their cartoonish look.
We love monster trucks… from afar! we went the other day and he FREAKED out when they revved their engines! The nice people at the Izod center sent us into a box with other unhappy kids!!! it worked out for everyone! So for now he will just play with monster trucks.
That looks like a lot of fun! My grandson loves Monster Trucks and would love to see all of these in person!
I don’t think they make headphones quiet enough for me to enjoy this show. My brother would like it.
We love Monster Jam. Every year we try to attend. My kids favorite part is getting to meet the drivers of the trucks. It is just great family fun!
