I was not compensated for this post. I will receive a subscription to SI Kids. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Nonfiction reading was important before the Common Core and now it is an extremely important genre where students need to have exposure to the different types of text. My oldest loves sports. Soccer, basketball, lacrosse and softball are among her favorites. This holiday season, I thought it would be a great idea to give her Sports Illustrated Kids. Nonfiction and reading for enjoyment all wrapped up into one magazine.
Sports Illustrated Kids is now offering a special subscription for your readers. Now, when you purchase an entire year of SI Kids in print and on tablet for $19.95, you can send a second gift of 12 issues (1 year) for only $5!
Here is the link to share this exclusive deal – www.sikids.com/gift.
The magazine is jam-packed with action photos, easy-to-read stories, tips from the pros, hysterical comics, and engaging activities for boys and girls who love sports. SI Kids has won highest honors from the Association of Educational Publishers, as well as the Parents’ Choice Award.

This is a great gift idea, a fun way to get kids to read!
what a great deal! my kids love this magazine!
My grandson is one of the reluctant readers and this magazine is a great idea because he loves sports and it might get him interested in reading about something he likes.
Wish I knew about this
This is a great gift idea! I will have to order some for my little cousins who LOVE sports! They will probably fight over it because they will love it so much! Thanks for sharing 😀
this looks like an awesome magazine for my boys when they get a little older!!
I agree with you about the importance of reading but my 10 year old already tends more toward the geeky side. Another good one that seems to be an eye catcher for kids is National Geographic Kids. My son seems to have no problem getting lost in it for an hour + at a time.
