I was not compensated for this post. My writer received tickets to attend with his family for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
My mother and I took my 5-year-old and 1 1/2 year old to the LEGO Star Wars Days MINILAND takeover weekend at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester in Yonkers, NY. We all had a blast. There was a scavenger hunt, a LEGO Star Wars-themed Master Model Builder Academy, and appearances from Imperial Stormtroopers and a surprise…Darth Vader!
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester has so much to offer including, hands-on play areas, a 4D cinema, the Master Model Builder Academy, two LEGO amusement rides, special party rooms and MINILAND — the venue’s signature re-creation of landmark locations and buildings throughout Westchester County and New York City, made entirely out of more than 1 million LEGO bricks.
For my family the Star Wars themed weekend was perfect to bridge generations of both Star Wars and Lego fans. My 5 year old was prepared to duel any Empirial forces he encountered with the help of the Force and his trusty Lightsaber.
The NYC landscape room was great to show my 5 year old historic landmarks commingled with battles between rebels and Imperial forces. I especially liked the Millennium Falcon being repaired in front of St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Oh No! Boba Fett is attacking NY. A young padawan springs into action with skills too fast for a camera to catch.
But this time he is prepared to defend Legoland from the notorious bounty hunter, Boba Fett.
Legoland was great to keep a 5 year old active and enterained for a solid 3 hours. I recommend going early to avoid the lines.
This looks incredible Stars Wars & Legos span many generations
Wow this is really neat – some of those models are amazing
My nephews would be so jealous! Awesome!
