Laval, Cragger and other animal warriors of the sprawling and fantastical world of LEGO® Legends of CHIMA™ will take over LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester for a fun-filled weekend as part of the attraction’s first ever LEGO CHIMA event, featuring the premiere of a new 4D movie based on the property, as well as other CHIMA activities for fans to enjoy on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, in the attraction (One Ridge Hill Blvd.) at Westchester’s Ridge Hill in Yonkers.
The all-new 12 minute animated 4D film, complete with high impact special effects, will immerse audiences in the fantastical LEGO world of CHIMA, where tribes of animal warriors compete in epic battles for CHI, a mystical energy source of limitless power and destruction. A range of special effects synchronized to the action on screen add the 4D element of extra excitement and drama. Guests will need to watch out for wind, smoke, water and plenty of edge of the seat surprises and fast paced LEGO-tastic fun.
The event will also feature fun-filled CHIMA activities including: a scavenger hunt, where sharp-eyed guests must hunt and spot LEGO CHIMA characters hidden throughout MINILAND for the chance to win a family four-pack of annual passes; Speedorz™ racing competitions with players battling against each other using rip cord-powered LEGO CHIMA vehicles; and the CHIMA-themed Master Model Builder Academy, where guests learn to create animal warriors from the World of CHIMA. Fans will also get to enjoy and interact with a four-foot tall LEGO model of Laval the Lion Prince standing guard at the attraction’s entrance and meet the mini-figure costumed warrior himself, who will be making regular appearances during the event.
All activities taking place during the LEGO LEGENDS OF CHIMA event are included in the price of admission to LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester. Annual pass holders will be invited to attend an exclusive preview event prior to the general public on Friday, July 26.
