I was compensated for this post in the form of a registration fee for The Color Run™. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
I’m going to participate in The Color Run™, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet. It is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, individuality, and giving back to the community. To find out what this run is all about, check out their About page.
-Less about your 10-minute-mile and more about having the time of your life, The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. The fun continues at the finish line with a gigantic “Color Festival,” using more colored powder to create happiness and lasting memories, not to mention millions of vivid color combinations. Trust us, this is the best post-5k party on the planet!
-With only two rules, the idea is easy to follow: Wear white at the starting line and finish plastered in color!
This summer, I will participate in the Brooklyn Color Run which is the closest to me, but go now to check what upcoming cities The Color Run™ will be stopping in this summer.
- Important: Promo code is valid in ANY city that is not sold out. However, most all of our races sell out, so they need to sign up now.
- The promo code does NOT guarantee them a spot in the race so when you find the race closest to them that is still open, enter soon.
- When people register in a team of 4 or more it is automatically $5 cheaper, they can then also use their promo code on top of that and save $10.00.
How does a “Color Team” work compared with a solo runner?
It looks like a lot of fun and I think it will be a great way to add activity to my day!

My sister just did the one in Tampa and had so much fun!
Good to hear. Need to go out and get white pants, ack!
I have so many FB friends doing this! It looks like a lot of fun! I remember last time going out in the city and seeing everyone painted!
I have always wanted to do the color run! Sadly there isn’t one in my city this year but next year I am so in!
I’ve seen this before, and it just looks like the most positive, uplifting event. And fun!
This looks so fun! I am going to see about doing one near me.
I’ve been seriously considering doing the Color Run in Portland – the only thing I’m hesitant on is that I still have some knee issues that prevent running. A walking team perhaps?
This sounds like SO much fun! I love how positive and fun it seems too. Makes me want to be a runner 🙂
I have wanted to do this for a while now….but I can’t run more than for 15 minutes. I wouldn’t mind ending the marathon looking all bright and colorful!!
I looked this up recently and was bummed there isn’t one near me, but my gosh, I’m going to participate if one ever comes by!
We did one earlier this year and had a blast! You’ll love it!
Aww. they look so fun! Too bad the closest one to my family is 3 hours away. 🙁
I’m going to do this in April and can’t wait!
I would love to do a color run but as of yet none in my area. This will be so fun and so healthy for you. I am so excited for you
This is so cool! Im glad I found this post, I’ve seen a lot about color runs lately and didn’t quite understand what they were. I dont really run, but my husband does, so maybe next year we can do one together!! After i get in shape hahaha
