I was not compensated for this post. My writer, @NYCLaurenBeth, attended the event and received a gift bag.
Once again, the awesome ladies from Getting Gorgeous Audrey McClelland and Vera Sweeney put on a fabulous event. It was a fun-filled day with pampering by CVS’s beauty team.

What I loved most about attending Getting Gorgeous was that you chat directly with brands themselves and learn great tips from what beauty products to use as well what will work best for certain skin types.
Mini makeovers were happening and I chose to get my hair done. My hair is normally straight and I opted for the bouncy curls to make my hair look fuller. I have never owned a curling iron. I always thought it was going to be too hard to use and I was blown away by the new Infiniti Pro by Conair® Auto-Rotating Curling Iron. This curling iron rotates your hair for you so that you don’t have to. It has a unique design of an auto rotating hair clamp. How amazing! There is a control button on the handle so you can choose which direction you would like the curl to go. Within 10-15 minutes the stylist had completed my entire head of hair and I have a lot of it. I was so impressed by how my hair looked and all the compliments I received. I might have to go out and purchase this myself.
Before, During & After looks
I was also chatting with the ladies from Conair about hair dryers; they mentioned that you don’t have to spend a ridiculous amount of money for one. They recommended one with an AC motor such as Infiniti Pro by Conair®.
Ergonomically designed for ultimate comfort. High performance for salon quality results. A quiet, but powerful AC motor ensures fast drying time, which means less heat exposure for hair. Well-balanced and lightweight*, this Infiniti Pro by Conair® dryer delivers comfortably effortless styling and sensational results.
Did you know that CVS’s own products are just as good if not better than the leading brands? I recently tried the Gel Polish Remover Wraps and it really does work saving you time and money in between applications. These foil applicators have a small piece of cotton attached so when you apply the nail polisher remover on it you then apply and wrap around your nails and sit for 10 min. Once completed, a handy removal tool is all you need to remove the gel polish.
BB creams are all the rage right now. A tinted moisturizer with SPF 15 makes getting ready in the morning a breeze. Renewing BB cream helps brighten & even skin tone. This BB cream is great for summer when you don’t want to put on a lot of makeup but need a little coverage to even out your skin. Apply in the morning and you are all set.
If you didn’t think you were getting pampered enoug,h you had the chance to spin the wheel for more prizes. I was so excited to win a bag of CVS branded products as well as the Infiniti Pro Hairdryer.
I have been using the hairdryer daily and it has cut my dry time in half. Now I can sleep a little longer in the morning.

I love CVS and buy their products all the time. I agree that they are just as good as the expensive name brands. Savings and great rewards program, that is what makes CVS one of my favorite stores.
