I recently had the opportunity to visit Mark-On-Madison Salon on the Upper East Side. I am always in the market for a great blowout so I definitely wanted to check out his Signature Blowout. I arrived with my hair curly and on the frizzy side. I try to keep curly tame but on a NYC windy day, that can be a challenge.
While at the salon, Mark spoke to me about how to keep the frizzies away and what types of products are best for my hair. I chose a Signature Blowout since I like to see how stylists can make my hair look its personal best. When he was finished, I was amazed at how long my hair had become. I love how the top was straight but yet he gave the bottom bounce and volume.
Mark also gave me some pointers on how to keep the blowout going. After having my hair done, I always try to enjoy it for as long as I can.
Here is some background info on Mark:
Mark Borukhov landed an apprenticeship with world-renowned hairstylist John Barrett at his Bergdorf Goodman salon where he honed his ability to embrace elegance and capture the allure of women through styling their hair. He developed an assortment of clientele ranging from celebrities, Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton and their mom, Kathy Hilton as well as Christina Applegate, Angelica Houston, Jade Jagger models, business leaders, socialites and other various personalities that the fast-paced city of New York offers. In addition to Mark’s success at John Barrett, his passion has brought him several opportunities to travel the world extensively and work with notable publications including Sports Illustrated and Vanity Fair, as well as a multitude of highly-recognized events and shows including The Academy Awards, New York Fashion Week and Good Morning America, to name a few.
I was able to enjoy the blow for days after my visit. I had a great experience and would return.
