This past week I was fortunate enough to attend the NYC premiere of Admission starring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd.
What an exciting event having never been to a premiere before with the entire cast present.
Tina Fey (Portia) portrays an admissions counselor who is up for a great job promotion and needs to get Princeton back to the #1 spot for top college choices . Paul Rudd (John) is an easy-going director of a newly founded alternative High School. Though their meeting is not by chance, John wants the help of Portia to get a young prodigy into Princeton but he also believes that this young man is the son that Portia gave up years ago when she was a college student. You get to see how the course of her career changes in thinking what she must do know as a possible parent to this student to help him with his education.
While Portia travels through the Northeast giving her prospective Princeton applicants the inside scoop on what it takes to be a student at this elite school, she always starts with the same question.
Do you want to know the secret of getting into a great college? Well, there is no secret just be yourself. This might be hard to figure out but it is the best advice. I loved seeing how far some students will go and applications just to get into a college or what strings might be pulled for them.
Admission is a romantic comedy. It should also be a must see for prospective college students as well as their parents/ guardians. Tina Fey & Paul Rudd were excellent in this movie and I really enjoyed seeing Lily Tomlin portray Tina’s mother. She is quite a character with lots of laughs.

Thank you to @NYCLaurenBeth for attending the NYC Premiere of Admission. I was not compensated for this post. We received tickets to attend the event.
This is how old I am; i remember Paul Rudd in ‘Clueless’ (and he was adorable then. I like the idea of a Tine Fey/Paul Rudd romance movie. I hope he’s not sporing that awful mustache in the film!
I’m looking forward to a date night with my hubby to see it. We both love Paul Rudd!
I love tina fey!
This is the coolest. I’m so looking forward to this movie!
