Do you want to look 7 Years Younger?
Then check out Good Housekeeping‘s new book 7 Years Younger.
By reading along and following their 7 week anti-aging plan you too can have the appearance of younger looking skin, a better health plan and fitness tips to get you started in the right direction to erase those 7 years.
While attending the Good Housekeeping Research Institute, I was able to learn some wonderful facts about how to get on the right path.
The first part of the visit included a Visia Skin Analysis. This machine counts wrinkles, age spots and examine’s the texture of your skin as well as UV damage before it appears on the surafce of the skin. I know I have had sun damage in the past but thought now my face was ok. I tend to have combination skin with some mild spots of rosacea. The skin analysis was definitely an eye opening experience for me. The anaylsis percentage is based on 100 people of the same age gender ans skin type. The higher the number the better, some of my numbers were not that high: UV spots 8%, Red Areas 5%. By following the correct beauty routine, I can turn these numbers around
Laura Geller was on hand with her fabulous team for make-up tips and makeovers. After having to remove my make-up for the Visia Anaylsis, Johnny Ottavino worked his magic and had me looking better in no time. One great question Laura asked was “how many of you follow a beauty routine?” I wish I could raise my hand and say “yes” but that is not so. She mentioned that not washing your face at night over time can add the appearance of 2 years to your face. I don’t want to look any older than I am. I have started a beauty routine and already see the difference.
Nina Judar, the beauty Director for Good Housekeeping, gave fabulous skincare tips as well.
Did you know that most beauty products contain SPF 15 but that they really aren’t providing enough protection? Many times, when applying make up you are only covering some of your face to cover imperfections. Everyone needs to be applying at least SPF of 30 to provide ample coverage.
Thank you to @NYCLauren for covering The Moms and Good Housekeeping’s 7 Years Younger event. I was not compensated for this post.
