A half a pound. A half a pound in the wrong direction. Staying on track can be tough and this was a tough week.
Valentine’s, my husband’s birthday and my father’s birthday. Great events and fun times and now as you can say, the party is over.
One lesson learned is that I need to pace myself and not let myself get too hungry. Snacking on fruits and veggies in between meals is key. And that awful full feeling after a dinner out is not something that I want to do anymore. Then, I am tired, sluggish and don’t want to get anything done.
On a positive note, I took the girls to the park the other day. It was in the 30s but the sun was shining and I thought as long as they were running around, they would be warm. They also had many layers on too.
If I do anything during this weight loss journey, it will be to show my children the value of a healthy lifestyle.

A half pound is not bad at all. You are doing great! And you are right, the important thing is showing your kids the value of a healthy lifestyle!
IM WITH LOLO!!!
it’s all consistency too which youre rocking.
Oh mama, I’m so sorry. But at least it was only half a pound. You can get that off in no time! Good thinking on the snacking and way to teach your girls!
I don’t think that I’d worry to much about 1/2 lb… What’s important is that you recognize what you need to do and how over eating and all the restaurant food makes you feel. And bravo for heading to the park in 30 degree weather!!
Constant movement and positive changes often don’t come with immediate rewards. Don’t worry… the scale will catch up. Great job getting your family bundled up and outside. Victory!
I like your positive attitude. It happens but it sounds like you are doing great and having the goal of teaching your children a healthy lifestyle is amazing!
It’s so true that you can’t let yourself get super hungry because it can easily derail you!
You’re doing great. I done the 21 day sugar detox in January and lost exactly zero pounds. I havent gone back to any bread/rice/pasta/processed foods/sugar since then and the weight loss has been extremely slow. I’m lucky if I loose a 1/2 pound a week. I figure the healthier eating will eventually kick in, right?
Don’t let that 1/2 pound get you down… My weight loss seems to have came to a screaching halt, but I’m pushing forward and not letting that get me down!
Good luck!
A 1/2 pound is nothing when you are looking at the overall picture – you are doing awesome! Keep up the good work!
I think you’re doing great!! Keep it up!!
With all of the parties, who can blame you? And a single pound – you’re just fine!
geesh! with all of that, I’d say you stayed pretty strong! I think your attitude is wonderful and you are being such a great role model for your girls. You’re teaching them it is not just about how we look, but most importantly how strong we are and how healthy we can be!
