Today, my Daisy Girl Scout along with all the Girl Scouts in Pelham gathered together in the Town House to create care packages for all of the veterans in town.
Earlier in the week, girls had decorated bags, made cards and stars to honor the local veterans. Each girl created bags filled with candy, baked goods and a note of thanks from the Girl Scouts.
I thought this was a great way to honor our local heroes and I think it was important for my daughter to participate. When the bags were created, the girls were able to go with parents to deliver the care packages and say thank you.
I am so happy that we were a part of this and I can’t wait to participate again next year.
Happy Veteran’s Day!
What a wonderful way for your daughters and the girl scouts to give thanks to your local veterans!
Happy Veteran’s Day! 🙂
Awwww, this makes me miss girl scouts sooooo badly!
You should have revived this post, it is an excellent one. I love how the girls are recognizing veterans day. Now, there are so many women they can be proud of. There Is a senator in our state Joni Ernst who retire fro the service and still is quite involved as are many others.
