Raising Three Savvy Ladies hosted a Unreal Chocolate Candy Party last weekend #GetUnreal last weekend. Anticipating the storm and strong winds, we moved the party to Saturday for a better turnout.
After a busy Saturday filled with soccer and preparing for the storm, I knew my party group was going to be hungry. My party was going to have all different ages so I ordered the universal crowd pleaser, pizza! With pizza on my way and Unreal candy on display, I had my guests play a little Wii to keep busy and active. Taking turns at Just Dance brought lots of laughs and fun.
When we were ready for dessert, everyone gathered around the table to see what Unreal was all about. Since I had a group of elementary students who had studies nutrition, I was curious to see what they would notice.
As they read the info card about all the candies, they noticed that Unreal had more fiber. Unreal had less sugar. Unreal did not have artificial ingredients. But, the question was how did it taste? So, we decided to open the packages and sample the goodies inside.
We were not disappointed. The adults said they could taste the freshness. They also liked that it was natural. The kids were interested in seeing what the colors were made out of. The candy coated chocolates did not have artificial colors. Instead, beetroot juice, tumeric root extract and purple cabbage juice created the various colors in the package.
The most favorite Unreal candy was the Unreal Peanut Butter Cups. They tasted as though they were just made. So fresh! And, we all liked that they did not have the extra wrapper waste.
When it was time to go, everyone took home a Nutrition fact sheet and a bagful of each Unreal candy to share with family and friends.
For those who were preparing for the storm and couldn’t make it, we made goody bags for them and shared them throughout the week.
Some of the things that make UNREAL special:
What does “unjunked™” mean?
UNREAL™ is starting with candy, because it’s the worst offender when it comes to “junk” – corn syrup, hydrogenated fats, GMOs, artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. To “unjunk” means to replace all these ingredients with real cane sugar, real milk, more peanuts, and twice the cacao.
What makes UNREAL™ products unique?
Our candies contain no artificial flavors, preservatives or hormones; no GMO’s (genetically modified organisms); no hydrogenated oils; and no corn syrup. Instead, we use real sugar, natural oils, and real milk. Also, you don’t need to travel to a fancy health food store or pay a premium to buy our candy, it’s only available where junk food is available.
Does UNREAL™ use any corn syrup?
Nope. In fact, our candies are 100% corn-free. No corn syrup, no corn oil, no corn in anything we make!
How much does UNREAL™ cost?
All pricing is at the sole discretion of the retailer. As a company, it’s our intention to ensure that UNREAL™ candy doesn’t cost any more than what you’re used to paying for candy.
Where are your products produced?
We make our candy in the US & Canada.
Is UNREAL™ a “healthy” candy?
We don’t consider candy to be “healthy” for you. It’s a delicious treat that we love. What we’ve done is give people a better choice, so that when they go looking for candy, they have the option to avoid the junk.
Are UNREAL™ products gluten-free?
Our candy is made with all gluten-free ingredients, but produced in facilities that handle gluten.
Is your packaging sustainable?
Not yet. Since we’ve removed the preservatives from the candy, we’ve had to use disposable packaging to keep our products fresh. However, we are currently working on finding a sustainable alternative.
This is a sponsored post. I received a stipend to cover the costs of party supplies and compensation for the post in addition to candy for the party.
Love Unreal candy!! I went and bought four bags of it for Halloween this year!
I haven’t tried it but have heard such good things about it!
Looks like a fun party! I have to look for it to try!
I have not tried this “candy” yet but every blog I read about it gives it a thumbs up. I don’t eat much candy as it is but would love to give this a try. I am more of a cake, cookies and pie kinda guy!
