Lands’ End and Momtrends know how to send your child Back to School in fashion. We had the honor of attending and Lands’ End University and passed each course with flying colors.
The children’s courses were set up for everyone to learn about the quality and care that Lands’ End puts into making each and every one of their products.
The Backpack Philosophy gave us an introduction to find the correct size pack for your child based on their height and weight and of course their fashion sense with many colors combos to choose from as well as monogramming. Check out these 7 great tips to help you find the appropriate backpack for your child.
Pants 101- Long lasting and quality are some of the things that come to mind when I think of Lands’ end. They have set the standard for durability with their new IronKnee patch which has been tested over and over to make sure it will last the school year and beyond. These pants have been tested over and over to meet some pretty tough standards of over 3,250 cycles on a burnisher going round and round to stand the test of time.
We all had the opportunity to dress “our child” for the first day of school and Lauren chose a great combo of colored cords and a cute brown long sleeve top with a cardigan with a punch of color to start year of right. I like the classic navy paired with the bright pink. Once we had picked our first day items, Lands End stylists were on hand to make the outfit picture perfect. No matter your child’s style there is an option for everyone from skirts to dresses, leggings to jeans you are covered from head to toe at Lands’ End.
For a little snack break, we able to get some great lunch ideas from Chef Sam Talbot. My favorite recipe is the turkey wraps with avocado and apricot. This is an easy sandwich that can be made the night before and put in the fridge to help save some time in the morning. A little tip he shared with us was to add Almonds to his Crazy Good Guac, I would have never have thought of it, but it looked delicious. His first book The Sweet life is filled with over 100 recipes to help you lead a healthy life style
Next we were off to get our hair and makeup done for our school photos. The stylist from Warren Tricomi were on hand to give some great styling tips for hair. Zachery did a fantastic job and I will definitely be following up with him at Warren Tricmoi. While sitting getting my makeup done I loved the the stylist asked what I would like done and I really wanted to make my eyes pop, he used some great new products from Revlon including their newest Colorstay Smoky Shadow Stick and Grow Luscious by Fabulash mascara. I have been able to replicate this look and I love it. One new product that was also featured by Revlon was the Root Erase by Colorsilk. I love the concept of just touching up your roots and not having to color your whole head each time when coloring your hair. My hair grows so quickly so this is such a blessing, with many colors to choose from you can find a match for any shade.
Fellow mom blogger Brittany Gibbons was on hand to give us styling tips to make any outfit work. My biggest take away from her was to always add a belt over a dress or long sweater emphasize a waist even if you don’t have one. Shoes are also a great accessory being fashionable doesn’t have to be painful and Lands’ End has wonderful shoe options for everyone.
After completing our course load and passing with flying colors we each received our Diploma from Lands’ End university and were able to choose from a variety of back packs to go home with. Lauren chose the multi dots for Middle Savvy. She absolutely loved the colors and will now be all set for starting 1st grade. I chose the black lucky charm for Baby Savvy for her first day in preschool.
Lauren and I were not compensated for this post. We received amazing swag and a fun night out with all my ladies who blog friends! Thanks Lands End and Momtrends!
I never thought of those backpack tips, but carrying above your lower back and less then 10-15% makes so much sense! Looks like a great time that was filled with great tips and lots of fun.
I love that dress! I also really like Land’s End, and I have heard so many great things about their backpacks!
I love the belted look!
